QUOTE(Cynox @ Aug 27 2010, 11:51 AM) hi, bro KTCY, what size of ext3 and swap file you using? I saw your quadrant score always so high. Mine was only 1200+. Yesterday upgrade to class 10 kingmax and the score drop to 1100+ . I need to redo the whole thing - partition size, reinstall all apps one by one rather than from Titanium backup, etc. to make sure my Desire will run efficiently. Swap 0 IIRC Was on OD which I OC till 1.3Ghz to get that score

QUOTE(anwa @ Aug 27 2010, 11:11 AM) Use desire for two weeks, love it but now start to think maybe should have waited for iphone 4. Boy battery ids bad, at lcct, using wifi, reading e book, sms, 3 hours battery left 55% since off charge at 7.30 am. Frus... How well you know is iphone4 battery performance when u dont even using it now? Check post#2, there are several ways to prolong ur Desire battery life.

QUOTE(triplexpresso @ Aug 27 2010, 11:38 AM) Cooking your own rom @ http://cookandroid.com/ worked perfectly. Test Cooked and downloaded a leedroid 1.9a without all the useless HTC widgets and apps last night. Flashed and worked perfectly. I like how they allow you to even choose your start up animation too on a separate note, I rooted a samsung galaxy s for a colleague. quadrant score went up from 823 (unrooted and before applying lag-fix) to 2212 (after rooting and applying lag-fix). And I was like *jaw-drop* This is on 2.1 eclair mind you. It's prob gonna go higher if 2.2 froyo gets on that machine. Too bad for their hopeless UI, overall lousy design (iphone clone) and poor choice of materials used. Can we get more internal storage over 140++mb if we cook our own rom?or is there any custom rom after flashing had internal storage over 140mb?

In order to flash a custom rom, you need to root ur phone first, then create a ext(2,3 or 4) partition and finally flash the rom that you want. Depending on how large you set your partition to, all apps will be installed into that partition.

QUOTE(Pennywise @ Aug 27 2010, 11:11 AM) Samurai1337, when you use this settings, did you notice any lags / problems? No lag Battery life during standby improves significantly, but when I'm on wifi surfing net, it's more or less the same as before (reducing 10%+/- per hour)

Well, apparently OD comes with default APN for my DiGi Internet and MMS. Any idea whether we could set that automatically on NextSense? Cause i still cant receive MMS on that.

Cause i still cant receive MMS on that. Automatically, I don't know But Titanium Backup keeps my settings, and this APN (separate APN for MMS) works for me Name - Maxis MMS APN - unet MMSC - http://172.16.74.100:10021/mmsc MMS Proxy - 202.75.133.49 MMS Port - 80 MMS Protocol - WAP 2.0 MCC - 502 MNC - 12 APN Type - mms
Others leave blank.

Reviews so far seem to say iphone 4 can last whole day heavy usage still have 50% battery. I'm just sad such a nice powerful phone as desire have to restrict it lower screen brightness, under clock cpu, off wifi, off 3g etc. hai. Tempted to get bigger battery and sacrifice slimness.

Tests have proven that amoleds sucks more at battery life.. we r seeing droudX n droid2 having best batterylife compared to other android devices. Seems like slcd saves much more on daily usage
