I dont actually believe in Quadrant score now.. the desire has been very snappy at just stock speed and usable as a daily driver (stable too) but didnt get so superb impressive quadrant score.. yes, we know that quadrant is not just about raw processing, UI and UX is another factor that quadrant cant actually calculate but only can be felt in the hands of the user.. No use of getting high quadrant but still lags and no use of applying certain patch and fix if it only gives a better quadrant score only.
stock android VS HTC Sense, im going for HTC Sense. Very usable and eye catchy. There is no need to waste ram using 3rd party launchers and widget to make your phone look nice. HTC Sense served me well on the Desire. Im very looking forward for the next Android UI. I hope that its gonna be cool and have scrolling widgets on the HS. On the other hand, i would love to see HTC Sense gets updated just like they said during the android garage. HTC Sense is what makes HTC phones appeal. HTC Sense does much better compared to other custom UI and deserves to be considered as the best custom UI.

you know what, i actually agreed with you on the hTC Sense, this is the main reason why i have chosen hTC Desire over Samsung Galaxy S...when i try out the Galaxy S, i was kinda disappointed with the widget available, example there's no text widget, no music player widget (Samsung)...sure there are plenty alternatives available, but i was disappointed nevertheless...
i like the way hTC implement small but significant features on their phones...to me, their People feature, which integrates with FB, is among the best, ok it's buggy, but it have the looks and functionality...i like the hTC calendar widget too, with 2.2 i read the calendar widget will show events from FB as well...
as with all software it's not perfect, like i would have like to customise the lower part hTC Sense, ie the all programs + phone + (+) bar, and smaller text widget with "mark as read" option...
P/S: the polite ringtone feature can even be used to impress people...
