thanks for the info Mike... from that I gathered that Malaysia is so backwards that we don't have any cars with built-in GPS yet.
the question would be... does it even work? hmm.gif

just wondering why a lot of cars that have built-in GPS overseas, when they're brought here.. it's all stripped out unsure.gif

Sure, no problem. Maybe it is due to the map for most Asia country is not detail enough. It is not as detail as the ones on Garmin (thanks to Malfreemaps). That is why the high end head unit models provided are all RCDs.
Anyway there is another new model which has navigation, smaller screen and 35% more cheaper, the RNS310 (SGD$999):

yea man... I wonder when will we get built-in GPS service like what BMW and Merc owners get in Europe. sad.gif

Getting traffic report on the built-in display while in the car is much better than hearing on the radio too late...

got my VW already today. Loving it. Went n changed to the 17" Denver rims but already polished and inside sprayed black with 225/45/17 Potenza RE050. Forgot to bring up my camera (in car).. mayb later tonight i post up some pics ..hehe...

one thing i must say abt the car.. the sound proofing is good. so quite if i turn off the radio and aircond and just cruise 80km/h.

Here's the photos..
I've changed from the stock 16" rims + tyres ( refer pic 1 and 2) to the GTi's 17" Denver rims with Bridgestone Potenza RE050 225/45/17.
The rims already polished to silver and inside coated with black paint. smile.gif

Mine was via a fren .. he sold off his brand new denver 17" and upgraded to bbs 19". But b4 that he thought of just polishing it and spray inner layer black.. mana went there n got poisoned to 19" (on his GTI). so i was lucky to grab his brand new treated rims & tyres at a bargain price ..hehe smile.gif

heard the spray and grinding/polishing will cost like rm600-700 depending on shops. I previously did my OZ ultraleggera from silver to gun metal also rm600 .. rm150 per piece...

Congrats on your purchase ! I'll probably stay with my current rims, though small I'm still liking the design of the rims.
