Looking at the booking ones tongue.gif

If I were a salesman, I would always say that it is getting fully booked soon to drum support haha tongue.gif

I only met one guy in the VW forums who actually placed a booking on the unit already.

are you talking about vwgolfclub malaysia ?

It was Vagsg forum that made me hesitate a bit initially on Golf. It's quite active forum but most of the post are on the 'negative' side of VW especially on after sales, DSG or mechatronics.
Anyway I told myself what the hell.....using Proton all my life, time for upgrade. Car already at the branch , now just need to settle trade in, NCB...etc,etc maybe couple of days more.

finally made my decision and chose the Tornado Red instead of the black or white. Wud hav liked the United Grey but gotta wait for next shipment. Shud be getting my car by this Friday .. woohoo... now my other dilemma is the RIMS...

I think there's no tornado red for 1.4 Tsi. It's Amaryllis red.....have a look at it and there's a tinge of orange in it

Collected my Golf just now ! biggrin.gif first trip back home already already going through heavy rain. Quite scared

of other car might rear ended it. One initial early finding, roof sound insulation not as good as I thought it would be,

can hear rain quite clearly though not as bad as Honda.

Sorry for crappy picture.

can you elaborate more on roof sound insulation while raining?
i know the roof sound insulation in honda(any model from year 2005 onwards) is really bad.. like milo tin sounds.
for eg: the honda city preview gen , the roof sound insulation is really bad. it giv me the feeling there is no sound absorber in the roof(perhaps cut cost from where normal consumer cant see easily). The roof sound insulation is worse than Honda civic in year 1997.

so how bad is the sound insulation for golf?
*
Wasn't implying it has bad sound insulation, comment was made very very early...barely 30 minutes of ownership and the rain was very heavy yesterday.

I just made that comment based of my expectations reading so many Golf Mk VI review that emphasize so much on noise reduction. coming from general proton, T & H I expect it to be
total silence. Haven't had much experience in luxury car ( only tumpang couple of times on BMW,Merc even Cayenne but never really thought about noise then).

That being said it's one superb car went again last night for 'test drive' till late night just to feel power and pickup which I never really got to test properly before !

Mine was via a fren .. he sold off his brand new denver 17" and upgraded to bbs 19". But b4 that he thought of just polishing it and spray inner layer black.. mana went there n got poisoned to 19" (on his GTI). so i was lucky to grab his brand new treated rims & tyres at a bargain price ..hehe smile.gif

heard the spray and grinding/polishing will cost like rm600-700 depending on shops. I previously did my OZ ultraleggera from silver to gun metal also rm600 .. rm150 per piece...

Congrats on your purchase ! I'll probably stay with my current rims, though small I'm still liking the design of the rims.

Info on fuel consumption for my golf, just had 2nd refill..so technically only one time going thru full tank

- 1st refill at 329km ( SA provide half tank )

- 2nd refill at 892km - 48.84L - fuel consumption about 11.5km/l with 70/30% more on highway driving. Still in break-in period so even on highway I keep varying speed. Both using Petronas Ron 95, will try Shell V-power after few petronas refill.

- 3rd refill at 1500km 50.055L 12.15 km/l or 8.23l/100km

belum TEKAN lagi !! wait after 1K+ km, right now fastest speed I go only 160 +. on highway when trying to cruise at low speed feel very torture!! due to lack of noise the car seems slower, my old car at 80-100km/h already got wind+noise sound. One thing for sure speedometer is overreading compared 2 my Garmin.

car 66 - gps 62
100 - 95
130 - 124

That's the thing. I don't know which shop is familiar with tinting for the golf. And which film? 3M?
*
I did my Golf tint with 3M ,AFAIK they didn't open the door panel , heat resistant is very good compare with my previous car with ecotint. Just leave out small part near rear-view mirror for smart tag.

Which shop did u go to get the 3m done? And how much was it?
*
I did mine at main office area at Jaya One , that one you hv to make appointment so they can arrange technician. However the receipt shows from ProStyle Tint supply.

Before you go, log on to 3m malaysia website and print the offer, can save quite a lot !
