Saw the Golf 1.4 TSI on the roads already! Saw two of them in SS2, one red and one sapphire blue.

Have a long wait for mine, everything settled but the September batch is fully booked already...

ops.. the GT is the one that's RM130k+ right?
The 308 is a much bigger car I think and the rear aircon vents should be a bit higher too I think

just test drove the golf 1.4TSi. there are actually two specs - the higher spec one is going for RM156k w/o insurance and the cheaper spec one is going for RM148k. difference is only in the aesthetics (lack of bi-xenons, etc).

i'm really impressed with it overall. very torquey for a 1.4, and builds up speeds really quickly. the showroom i went to still has some stock for next month but only in red and white. next batch is in march 2011 iirc?

polos and sciroccos will be in showrooms next month.

I think PEU is turbocharge while Golf is Twin-Charge right...

Any infos for the CKD model next year?

CKD plans are to only begin building them in 2012 mate. The models to be CKD have not yet been confirmed.

yeah; i also asked about CKD units and i was also told that it was in the 2 year pipeline. 3S center should also be ready by then.

From uncertain info on the Net, there are 3 models that will be CKD-ed. I could only remember Jetta but Golf and Polo are not in the list.

My SA is gonna kill me already ..i change my mind too many times already .. i previously chose the silver due to no stock for the graphite blue. Then the branch manager recommended me the black color as he says the silver is too common. Today my SA called and told me the graphite blue is available since a customer pulled out. But now i'm in a quandary pulak.. saw the tornado red on the road (GTIs) .. looks menacing...

Yeah the one I saw on the road yesterday was a Tornado red as well as a Graphite Blue, personally I like the blue better because I like blue generally.

At least the branch you ordered from has people pulling out, I asked my SA, no one pulled out from the September list

finally made my decision and chose the Tornado Red instead of the black or white. Wud hav liked the United Grey but gotta wait for next shipment. Shud be getting my car by this Friday .. woohoo... now my other dilemma is the RIMS...

do u guys think that 18" will greatly dampen the car's power ? or wud 17" be the wise choice ?

I think there's no tornado red for 1.4 Tsi. It's Amaryllis red.....have a look at it and there's a tinge of orange in it

there is bro .. not featured in their website .. there are 2 reds for the 1.4 TSI.. the amaryllis red and also the tornado red. 100% sure. since i was at the showroom and the 1.4 was parked next to another tornado red GTI.. so i had a good look at both to c the differences. The amaryllis red is sort of darker n maroonish like...

i just saw a commercial at TV in astro on 10.30pm, its Golf 1.4... really thumb up lar. volkwagen did so much of effort promoting its brand and car. very impress.

Btw, can u guys post some photo of your new baby, keen to look at some real photo leh... i was poison by volkwagen lately ....zz
