btw.. goin 18" wun cause the car to b lesser power meh ? i dare not go 18 since the GTI also 18... and GTI is 200hp... so thot of just upgrading to 17".. afraid will makan too much of the 160hp and increase FC

there's plenty of torque in the 1.4 and if that is not enough there's always apr, mtm s1 etc
but of course you'd be sacrificing some driving comfort for the bling factor!
FC is dependent on how heavy is your right foot
in SG the 18" MTMs are SGD2900 and the 18" Caractere are SGD3000... if I can get it cheaper here in MY I'll get it changed locally but everything in MY is usually more $$$$$ 

im about 30 now. if i buy one fiesta. loan 5 years i be 36. Then i change to polo and loan again 5 years or less. i be 38... By the time i get a grab of the golf. i be 40... hahaha... but i was thinking of skipping the fiesta and go for the polo straight. Cause i feel the golf is a bit too expensive for its size. But then again 90% of the time i drive alone what the heck i want a big car for. no one sits at the back. Thats is why now i feel my 9 year old waja is a little too big. Sluggish, and fuel consuming.

So i was looking at fiesta seriously before it got launch. Then i went to go molest it the other day. finding the buttons plastic are not much better than any other japanese car. I regret to say this that the vios fit and finish is very much better than the fiesta. Although vios is just a transport that brings you to point a and b in a cheap way. Only suitable for people who couldn't care less and no passion about owning a car... don't mind me... its the way i think... honda is too expensive in every way. And Mazda is not very much better. So its down to keeping my old waja and get it repaired and use it for another good 5 to 6 years then i go all the way to VW dream land. But by then i be 5 to 6 years unhappy and missing the fun in my coming to midlife years.

if u can afford it by all means go for it, poor a$$ like me have to drool of these cars and ask for a test drive 

i just placed booking for the Golf 1.4 TSI... still undecided on the color... torn in between white or the dark blue color or even silver...  white i'm afraid of stone chip and of coz tar marks..  dark blue not sure but makes the car looks even smaller ?    which bank gav u the 3% ? Mine got fr RHB 3.1% le ..    any other freebies they throw in ?

LOL, i have the same idea as well! Was thinking of getting those Mk6 GTI fellas rims when they trade up. Really like the 17" GTI rims!

17" GTI rims(denver) is nice, but the 18" detroits on MK5 GTI SE is even better. the color is slightly different. inside of it is black and the rims are gun metal color

finally, i m back to bolehland... went to the showunit near penchala... only manage to test drive the Golf 1.4 TSI along Penchala link and den U-turn..

got confused with the wiper and signal indicator, terbalik with japanese cars 

I used to just cruising with my own car, but the sales gal ask me just tekan aje with the Golf..

impressive pickup even before 2000 rpm, reach 100km/h in no time... cabin is quiet... nice handling

I would prefer it comes with leather seats, more classy and luxury..

overall... very good car... 

I used to think that so until I saw the 17" dual tone rims. Those are the ones I want to get. The 18" detroits are nice but I think I will feel the pinch a bit more especially when looking to change the tyres especially since I travel more than 100km a day.

i had the 17" ultraleggera from OZ previously on my previous car. Super light rims and value for money. if not mistaken ard 8kg..
now i'm bribing my SA to let me know if those scirocco's buyer who wants to tolak their rims cheap cheap .. i might consider

My first preference is the United Grey but because I drive on the highway 80% of the time, my current car has plenty of stone chips at the bumper and the hood so I know that United Grey, Tornado Red and Black will be very obvious especially on the stone chips.
Black is nice, but without the Red trim like how the GTI has it, it doesn't stand out as much. I think Silver is a little too common but I chose the white

Heard that FA Wagen offers a package where you can get the 17" GTI rims as well. Gonna check with Wearnes if they offer that as well.

17" is a good compromise between $$$/comfort if they offer that with stock but unfortunately they don't do that with the 1.4, so it's going to be a private deal unless you want to pay $$$$$ for the new OEM 17" detriots from vw, i'm sure there are some gti owners who are looking at selling their denvers/detriots if you look around
