QUOTE(izact @ Sep 21 2010, 08:57 AM) hi guys..i need to know something..why i cant transfer files to external drive while the thumb drive can? can anyone advice..sorry never came across this problem b4.. I'm guessing that the External drive is formatted in NTFS while the thumb drive is using FAT32. The former can't be natively modified by OSX; Try Tuxera's NTFS-3G. |

ojimaru..the external was previously FAT32. just converted to NTFS after figuring out that might be the problem. but the transfer also failed.

It'll definitely fail to transfer to an NTFS drive. If it failed while it was FAT32, then my guess is the file you were transferring was larger than 4GB. |

guys, is it normal when it gets kinda hot at the speakers part, especially the left side where the charging slot is located? I'm not even running multiple applications, just watching movies on megaupload. I'm using MBP 15". Any ways to reduce the heat generated?

Any ways to reduce the heat generated? watching movies no megaupload = using flashflash is known to be resource intensive, so ur computer is working harder -> generate more heat. that's the reason it's not on iOS device reduce heat? well if u're in an air-conditioned room shud be ok. else juz let it be lah. being hot is good, it means the aluminium body is doing its job conducting the heat from inside to the atmosphere. u dont want the heat to get trapped inside |
