open Disk Utility (use spotlight), select ur external hd on the left, to go Erase tab, pick format: FAT32 then click on Erase

the limitation of fat32 drives is u cannot store a single file that is larger than 4gb. no problems for folders, but not files

or u can just install ntfs-3g (free) to enable ntfs support. the transfer speed is really slow though. for faster speed u might wanna get tuxera ntfs or paragon ntfs, both are paid software. im using paragon NTFS n it works well smile.gif

edit: can we have a sticky for this? it's an understandable problem for new mac users

OMG, is so troublesome. anyway, thank you very much smile.gif

I always had some dodgy issues with MSN messengers. I end up using Adium instead. It looks much cooler actually. There are tons of customizable skins etc.

I've had the charger on my macbook white probably since day 1 i bought it. Which makes it about 10 months already. I do occasionally discharge the battery as an attempt to reduce battery wear but thats about it.

Buying from online is hassle free. Just create an Apple account and start shopping. Once done, wait for delivery smile.gif

If you do not customise it, it will be shipped within 1 day after your payment is confirmed.

Hello people. I'm in the market for a laptop to complement my desktop pc at home. I'm still undecided between the MBA 11" or MBP.

To owners of the new MBA, can it handle the playback of 720p videos? icon_question.gif I've read people complaining(???) the 720p youtube video playback as jerky and unsatisfactory on macrumors.

Plus, is the screen on the MBP 13 better than MBA for viewing HD contents? hmm.gif

I would say if you going for 13", it is wiser to get MBP.... if u are finding secondary laptop and mobility...11" is the right one for you

@Edoras,
regarding the MagSafe connector, Apple designed it as such so that it's angled.
Why? It's learnt that most folks who use the old MagSafe tend to place their cables behind their MacBooks. Rather than having tons of cases where the connectors are frayed and torn off(which presents a safety hazard), Apple has decided to make it angular. Besides, if the cable is out of sight, you won't even notice it being there.. smile.gif It also has a more slim form factor as well.
