i have seen many macbook images from the web. how come some the keyboard is in black but in the apple website, it is in white.
smile.gif still worry that the apple os is difficult to use. although it is very tempting.

Apple OS is pretty straight forward actually. The white keyboard means its the MacBook White Unibody. The black keyboard has a blacklite feature on the Macbook Pro.

Hey guys, does anyone know if its possible to connect 2 screens to my macbook. Im currently using a 23inch dell lcd as my primary display with the macbook shut (basically like a mac mini). I want to extend to 2 monitors not duplicate the screen. Anyone had experience with this before?

i just got my new MacBook Pro, 13'3 for not more than 1 week.
I have some questions, about the battery.

normally, i use the MacBook Pro at home for whole day.
can i just connect the Magsafe power adapter together with the MacBook Pro for the whole day? will this damage the battery?

do i need disconnect the adapter when the battery is fully charged??

Thank you
*
What i do to attempt reducing battery degrading is I usually discharge the battery once a week till it runs on reserve/empty and full recharge it back again. tongue.gif Things are bound to be worn off anyway, all you could do is reduce the wear.

I always had some dodgy issues with MSN messengers. I end up using Adium instead. It looks much cooler actually. There are tons of customizable skins etc.

Hi guys, would like to ask about macbook charging
is it ok if i let the magsaver connected to my laptop all day long ?
would it harm the battery ?
*
I've had the charger on my macbook white probably since day 1 i bought it. Which makes it about 10 months already. I do occasionally discharge the battery as an attempt to reduce battery wear but thats about it.

Hey Guys,

Don't know if this is the right place to post/ask but I am having some issues with Steam for Mac. I just purchased CS Source. When I try installing it..specifically during the "creating local game cache files" part which is actually close to being a complete installation, my steam crashes "An unexpected error occured". Is there something that I'm missing out? My steam is up to date so is my OSX. I've tried multiple times to make sure that this is not some random error but it keeps happening. Can anyone help? smile.gif

Hey,

Anyone got good recommendations for a notebook cooler for my macbook white? Preferably a cooler that can take advantage of the fact that the vent of the MBW is behind not bottom. Cheers guys

Hey guys, just wondering if the i7 on the macbook pro is a quad core or still a dual core processor? I have to assume that the i5 is a dual core but not too sure about the i7 line-ups.

macbook air 13 inch and macbook pro 13 inch..

was wondering which one to get?
any ideas?

Really I'd opt for the MBP 13 at any time. Its faster, the only drawback will be the flash storage that it doesnt have. Unless you are picky about that, then you should go for the MBA. Not to mention to cost difference too. For the price of the MBA (Not too sure the Malaysian price) you could probably get a pretty great spec on the MBP.

what can i do to make my mac last longer?
or mac is a product that is supposed to be replaced in one or two years?

ohya..does mac becomes lag after using it for 2 or 3 years? (or all laptops tend to become lag?)
*
You can never keep up with technology. As long as the laptop you have serves it purpose, then I don't see why you should even consider replacing it every one or two years. I think the previous generation of macbook pro is still well to do. Regarding the lag part, I'm not sure how to technically explain it but its usually due to the old registry files etc cluttering up your hdd. Use programs like onyx to check for any errors on your disk and if it does have any, just do a quick disk fix via your startup. Wait, actually you can just do a disk check on the disk utility app. lol doh.gif

Hey guys,

Having some health issues with my macbook white (2009) battery. When I plug the charger in, it seems the health tends to fluctuate to 93-96%. But when I unplug it, its back on 100%. Anyone can explain this? I did a quick search on google and found out that some say you need to "exercise" your battery. So basically, you "use it or lose it". I wouldnt actually mind that but I have my mbw extended to my 23inch dell lcd 24 hours a day and once i plug the power off, the screen display automatically shuts. Anyone can help?

Try running a diskcheck mate. I've had a similar problem on my MBW. Ran a diskcheck via the OSX cd and managed to sort it out.
