In case anyone's wondering, yes, HG 1/144 Quanta can kneel on one leg nicely.



No surprise, since HG /144 00 Gundam could do the same.

Just Wondering is why the O cost so exp ~ i might skip alot comment from the front ~

but IMO , Perfect Zeong and Sazabi size quiet big compare to others MG but it cost 10000 and 8000 yen only ~

The O will be the most exp MG in history now ~

^ they just want to rip of our money & since people love it (remember it rank 2nd in the most wanted MG) thus more reason for them to take advantage. Period.

i suspect only some people mass-voted since the vote system not limited...

1) Size and number of parts
2) General increase of gunpla's price in recent years. Note that the tiny MG Victory costs more than MKII 2.0
3) Better quality plastic and ABS joints in more recent MGs

In a word, inflation.

Year 1994: NG 1/144 God Gundam 700 yen (this kit even comes with gold plating!).
Year 1995: HG 1/100 God Gundam 1,500 yen
Year 2001: MG 1/100 God Gundam 2,500 yen.
Year 2010: HG 1/144 God Gundam 1,800 yen.

Increase in cost of production is transferred to customers.

Hobby No Toriko has reviewed HG 1/144 Quanta as well.

im more interested in the stability.. is it like MG exia? xtremely loose legs

ZGMFXG makes their own custom decals...

The gold plate 1/144 god must be the special edition one. The one I have only uses yellow plastic...

Only some model kit made in China like 1/400 Alpha Azieru but already full painted by China factories
but why in 1/400? because this kit are larger than HGUC Psycho Gundam if made in 1/144 scale lol


now that you mention it, unicorn have more limited posing than Exia... but Quanta mostly use 00's legs

Even though Unicorn has less posing capabilities, its much stable, no? Anyway its good to hear that Quanta's leg might be the same as 00's. any chances of them making a new leg for it?

MG Unicorn's ankle joint is one of the worst i've seen.

The problem is MG Quanta (if it's released) will inherit MG 00's legs and MG 00's legs will probably inherit MG Exia's legs.

MG GN-X's legs also had similar problems like MG Exia. Guess it runs in the Gundam 00 universe.

Haha actually all Bandai prepainted stuff are made in China, since painting requires manual labour. You can tell the Bandai product that were manufactured in Japan are the products that does not involve prepainting whatsoever; the products are manufactured almost 100% by machines, which actually has lower cost than even the cheapest manual labour

What's wrong with MG GN-X's legs? Mine's still tight and fine
But considering 00 have quite a different ankle structure compared to Exia, I doubt it'll have the same issues. You'd be more worried about its GN Drive shoulder pads+ 0 Raiser weight

The joint that holds the Quanta's shield looks like it's gonna be loose in no time

Anyway, bought a HGUC Zgok today for the heck of it... feel like eating crabs now.

well, my MG GN-X have a problem at the leg there. Seems that the connector from the Waist to leg is loose, like, totally . is there any way to tighten it?

Is that the part where it joins the upper thigh to the hip (the ball-shaped thingie)? I think that if that part gets loose, it's loose forever (happened on my Exia). But perhaps some nail varnish might give it some friction so it's somewhat tight? Not sure if that works, so I'll wait for the sifus to add more solution to this prob

Well apart from that, the ankle joints are kinda weak. Makes it wanna lean forward or backward when you put it on a standing pose.

Try painting the joints to make it thicker. Thicker = not so loose.

hi hi sorry to interrupt you all.

this is my first time posting in this hobby forum of lowyat.net forums.

recently, i had a discussion with a friend about how to make money, and we figured that doing trading would be a good start.

he told me that he got a friend who can get wholesale prices from original bandai factory in china, but need bulk order of at least RM2000 in goods.

i was thinking, i could take pre orders etc, but after visiting the hobby forum of lowyat.net for a bit, i noticed that there are "imitations" bandai companies which produces similar bandai products, but maybe of slightly lower quality etc but much more cheaper.

seeing that the so called original bandai factory is in china, i had doubts if it is indeed original bandai though my friend assured it is, as told by his friend.

so, i decided that the best way for me to find out is to order a batch first, then try out one of the boxes myself to check the quality.

however, the problem is i never played / bought / assembled gundam before so i am like, totally clueless about this.

i appreciate if you guys can share some information with me regarding:
1. which gundam models are currently quite popular at the moment
2. standard malaysia retail market price range

so i can sell off the popular easier to sell gundam i obtained and not be stuck with the not so popular harder to sell gundam that i will have a harder time to dispose off.

by the way, gundam is produced by bandai, right?



also, how to make sure if it is really authentic bandai, and imitation bandai? the difference in quality, how to check oh?

Authentic gundams/gunpla(gundam plastic) is only made in JAPAN...
their figures, etc mostly in China...
Those imitation of gunplas made in china, quality of plastic is lower, some parts don't fit nicely...

all their machines that produce gunpla are in japan and they are the only ones who have it....
the machines isn't cheap too... search in youtube, you can see them

FYI , All bandai kits ONLY produced in Japan , shizuoka Bandai headquarter...
there had been a interview into the bandai hobby center , and the representative had mention that before. They never outsource due to they have the ensure the quality is within their control.

Buy original. Gunpla is just one of the things that you simply cannot buy cipalak version... Weep when your parts don't fit.

Model kits are ONLY made in Japan, as was said by z3r0717.

Your friend could be talking about other Gundam merchandise (still original from Bandai) such as Gundam StandART or Gundam non-scale action figures Robot Damashii. These are produced in China because they require manual paint jobs.

and most of the time, the pirated versions wont have the bandai logo printed on it. and the box art looks a lil different... much lower quality u can say. but theres something very different between an original and a pirated 1. actually, if u do want to experiment, u can buy an original 1 and the 1 u said from china and compare the plastic quality, wrapping and other stuff.

yup and 1st thing you be notice straight away is that the box color from original is always glossy and sharp coloring while fake is more faded and Chinese word printing instead of Japanese word.

i dun think there's a bandai factory in china producing gundams
all the gundams r made in jp from the only factory
