Hey DeathWing, both of us are having the same F-14 Tomcat model as in the brand of the model. The brand name is Italeri. I can tell it's the same coz both our F-14 Tomcat has the same unit markings to the tail fins. biggrin.gif But of course, my one nicer looking la tongue.gif

Yea, it's Italeri but I think it is F-14A.
I assembled it in flying mode with retracted wheels so I can play around with it tongue.gif. If you notice the paint on the plane body, it is slowly losing colour, sign of poor maintenance and wear and tear flying in the harsh weather. tongue.gif

I bought the Black bird for RM20+ only. No idea what brand is that, it is huge (standard 1:72 scale) and I sprayed it with black paint and save me the trouble of brushpainting it brows.gif

I think part of the difficulty in getting commercial aircraft kits is that its an infringement of the trade mark of an airline to sell them. Which is probably why you only get them from the airline company itself. And also perhaps there isn't much of a market for it. Thats what I think anyway.

If you're looking for BA, AF models, there's a thread in Airliners.net which is offering them.

Not really, I saw dozens of die cast Malaysian Airline planes being sold at ToyCity. Though they're ridiculously expensive (say, RM700 for one that's about 15cm long?)

i think its a die-cast model.. the scale is 1:144... quite small... for more details i'll stop by the shop later... maybe i can find out more... or maye i'll buy 1 just to show how its look like.. i think the shape and everthing is quite accurate... but maybe the tyre part is not very detail...

anyway i'll check it out later and let you know... since i have to get another F14 or Eurocopter model anyway... smile.gif
