Just Wondering is why the O cost so exp ~ i might skip alot comment from the front ~

but IMO , Perfect Zeong and Sazabi size quiet big compare to others MG but it cost 10000 and 8000 yen only ~

The O will be the most exp MG in history now ~
*
1) Size and number of parts
2) General increase of gunpla's price in recent years. Note that the tiny MG Victory costs more than MKII 2.0
3) Better quality plastic and ABS joints in more recent MGs

Buy original. Gunpla is just one of the things that you simply cannot buy cipalak version... Weep when your parts don't fit.

Retro FTW !

It's actually pretty accurate. The Gouf's spikes for some reason tend to curve inwards instead of pointing up and out like the Zaku's.

What the hell's wrong with the colors?  doh.gif

*
Nothing wrong.... it's just the flash of the camera that makes it look weird. The Delta Plus is greyish in colour with a navy chest piece...
The rifle, however, is just wrong. Still don't understand why they nerfed it.

QUOTE(zieraq @ Aug 10 2010, 08:17 PM)
I stated there 'learn', not copy. Its about how Apple feed the craze of their fan on the product they sell. The strategy of Bandai product release can be adjusted so that we craze for more. Like I mention before they should release DS & Rezel both variation in 1 box instead of seperate release becoz they r too little difference to justify a separate release i.e the Tallgese 1/100 have the version 1,2 & 3. That way is more pleasing to the fan, me at least.
*
Apple does the same shit as Bandai... release a crappy iphone first, then quickly release improved versions some time down the road...
Same with Bandai... release basic model first then later come out with all sorts of variants with additional goodies.

Why include all those conversion kits when they know hardcore fans will be impatient and buy the normal Rezel, and few months down the track, voila! commander version.

I personally would prefer they release TG1 on its own... I'll buy that one, but not a TG3 with conversion parts like the 1/100 coz I have no use for the additional parts... I only want the roman warrior TG1.

Perhaps I should've used the word 'inspire' instead of learn or copy.

My perspective of idea is since these plastic model is fictional, they can always have limitless design. what I dont like is they spawn the same design, put little tweak & make a separate release. The big O got 4 arms with high price tag but only 2 beam saber effect parts? shakehead.gif really, it's just simply silly & not entertaining. I want back the days of the Sinanju craze rclxm9.gif Imagine if every release is crazy as Sinanju release. Bandai still make money too. If want more of my money, spawn more design or at least make the design more distinctive like exia/astrea or strike/strike E(therefore can save RnD for moulding). they'r still so many gundam series which still got no love, & later got manga for gundam wing which will spawn more release. the road for their product release is endless. Silly tactics like this is just...shit, man wink.gif

*
Despite the high price, chances are the hardcore fans in Japan will still buy The O like mad... The endless rehashes of RX78s and Zakus have been going on for decades now but it still manages to chalk up sales. I'm not going to buy The O, not because of its poor articulation (it's expected for something so bulky), but more because of the price... I simply cannot afford 120K yen on any gunpla.

There are still many designs that fans want - DHC, V2, DX, Turn X to name a few; they will be released eventually... it's more a matter of time. Most of the time Bandai releases stuff whenever there's an anime/manga/video game to be released but occasionally they do come up with unexpected things like MG Victory, HGUC God/ZZ/X.

The 00 series are easy to predict as new models will be released with every new movie/OVA; while most if not all of Unicorn's suits will come out around the same time as the OVA episodes. Next wave of HGUC is confirmed to be Angelo's Zulu, Delta Plus, Sinanju... and most likely the Royal Guard Zulu will be released too. When ep3 comes, you'll see Banshee and Jesta too.

The most ridiculous strategy would still be the Sangoku series. The recent "Shin" version is virtually identical to the first generation releases, but in between them they already rolled out quite a couple of variations. Whoever bought the original Sousou would be really pissed off as the second gen comes with a additional sword while the latest has new armour and a horse. Then there's Ryobi which the original one comes with 3 swords yet the later anime versions leave out the red sword but has a larger golden dragon blade. Plus the recently released Kan-u and ChouHi with larger armours and scythes... The examples are endless.

Love or hate Bandai, you can't deny that they really know how to do their business.

*
You're better off with an MG Ball... HGUC is simply too small... good to be used as a football if you decide to make a funny diorama though.

Try to get the 08MST Ball as it comes with 2 different cannons for you to choose from, and a funky cable with grappling hook... of course, hot orange might not be everybody's favourite colour although I think it looks better than the normal grey.

ver Ka label is merely a gimmick although some say it represents the kits that Katoki himself oversees the production.

Beecraft's MG SF design is good enough although like Katoki, Beecraft tends to go for sleek and slim proportions.

Not too fussed about PGs anyway... too large, too expensive, too few choices.

All due respect to Katoki, but he is somewhat overrated. Many mecha fans tend to worship him as the best designer ever, but many of his famous designs prior to Unicorn were remakes - Wing EW mechas, RX78 ver Ka... Having said that, the Unicorn mechas were pretty unique although many of the non-major units in the novel were again remakes of Okawara designs from previous UC series.

Personally I think Izubuchi is a better designer... They look somewhat different from Okawara's original OYW designs, yet they fit seamlessly into the UC universe. Just look at the 0080 and CCA mechas.

Got people actually said unicorn is crap & blame katoki for it wink.gif  just think if unicorn dont have the destroy mode or the destroy mode already on no need to transform. that surely wont be as epic. or consider the MG cannot transform, need to buy separately like the HGUC. if anybody can produce a better unicorn surely that guy can call katoki crap. Let's be humble people. He may not as good as how his name sells but calling him crap doesn't make us better than him. last time I rant about Bandai's marketing. this surely is their another marketing stunt. so rant on u'll be a psycho just like me laugh.gif
*
When did I ever say Katoki is crap? I adore his Unicorn and Victory mecha designs if that's not already clear enough. It's just that apart from those two aforementioned series his other designs often trend more towards fantasy/flashy ones rather than utilitarian/militaristic.

QUOTE(Parody @ Aug 24 2010, 03:22 PM)

Izubuchi? Man, his MG Hi-Nu design got so much criticisms (mainly about proportions). I personally don't find anything wrong with it though. In fact, i quite like it. I have one on display at home and it's gorgeous.  wub.gif

*
Izubuchi's Hi-Nu is the one that many loved.
MG Hi-Nu was a redesign that many complained about.
I personally don't care for either coz I'm more of a Nightingale fan.

QUOTE(gaiachronicler @ Aug 24 2010, 07:31 PM)

It's actually correct, if you look at Okawara's lineart. tongue.gif

Anyway, HGUC Sinanju is a must-buy !! Super paint job nightmare though... given the smaller size pieces of the black armour pieces.

You mean Okawara's design actually made the wing so small? wtf.
*
What I meant was Okawara's SF had such stubby proportions and oversized wings/dragoons that made it look very comical, like the Cosmic Region toy.

This is one design which I actually agree with a total overhaul of the original lineart... Okawara for some reason just decided to muck around with all the Seed linearts and made them short and chubby.

While i agree that the design was a bit... unconventional, the MG kit itself was brilliant in terms of construction. You'll have to build it to believe it.

*
Absolutely. Turn-A is magnificent despite the radical design, the thing that stops me from getting it is the slimming down - it's much skinny than it's supposed to be and the funky rifle is scaled down too.

Hoping to see MG Turn X soon as that is even more badass than the Turn A.

QUOTE(Duke Beard @ Aug 28 2010, 12:06 PM)
Wing Gundam was very popular too when it was first aired, but sales wise for the MG, the kit wasn't very fantastic either. Does it make it a badly designed Gundam? I find it meh, I like TV Wing 0 more than wing custom. But I still went out all the way to get one.

It all boils down to taste. I find the Nightingale crap looking, but I don't go around announcing it or putting down Starghazzer (Nightingales #1 fan!) on his favourite choice.
*
QUOTE(golbeza @ Aug 28 2010, 12:17 PM)
as a UC oldfag, i also sappork HGUC Nightingale like Starghazzer, Bandai must release HGUC Nightingale to be on par with the HGUC Hi-Nu. if not then the only HGUC from 0093 Beltochirka's Chidren is the Hi Nu  tongue.gif

Bandai already release the HGUC Kshatriya, so i think the HGUC Nightingale will be no problem tongue.gif
*
sweat.gif
Why am I involved?

If Bandai releases the Nightingale it better be fat and bulky like the lineart... I ain't buying it if it went through a slimming programme like the redesigned Hi Nu; or if it gets nerfed like the Delta Plus.

Speaking of which... got a HGUC Zaku F2 today... gorgeous kit. Still yet to get the MLRS coz shop doesn't have it (and will cost 45AUD !)... maybe should just go for the normal GP02 which comes with a display stand instead.
