Authentic gundams/gunpla(gundam plastic) is only made in JAPAN...
their figures, etc mostly in China... Those imitation of gunplas made in china, quality of plastic is lower, some parts don't fit nicely... Read this http://ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2010/04/ban...st-pirated.html |

If you're a modeller, of cos you'll paint it. Once you painted your kit, you'll never go back to just snap fit..
If you're a collector, you won't unless you pay someone to paint for you. lol |

QUOTE(nazrul90 @ Sep 9 2010, 06:12 PM) what the hell you want to paint the PG? it already molded with full color so no need to do that... unless you want your PG to be flashy enough to enter beauty contest so go on with painting... This is a hobby. Buying gunpla isn't just for snap fit. all the kits are molded with color too so what's the difference if u say PG.People paint their gundams because they can change the color scheme or just follow the art box. People like to achieve something which that did themselves and able to display it beautifully. Not only just for contest.. For an example my friend did for his client, PG 00 http://www.facebook.com/#!/album.php?a...4&id=1348429491 QUOTE(Hellscream @ Sep 9 2010, 06:13 PM) By right, you're not suppose to pose/play the model after painted because chances of scratching the paint.Posing should be fun but have to becareful. Playing is not recommended.. lol QUOTE(madmoz @ Sep 9 2010, 06:39 PM) Totally Agree. Once you have finished painting it to your own liking, it would be like the only one in the world because you did it yourself. This post has been edited by z3r0717: Sep 9 2010, 07:10 PM |

QUOTE(nazrul90 @ Sep 9 2010, 07:28 PM) i dont think full painting are needed if want to follow the box art... its PG mang, need to touch up some part only.... not like HG... molded in lame color plus need to paint some parts... well, we modellers can't accept nib marks so there's the process of painting in the first place.there is a lot different,bro... try buy same model but in different grade... you will know what i mean... and sorry for use rude language at the post before... Selamat Hari Raya to all Gunpla are model kits not toys.. Yea i know that HG will be different, well they are small, of course not all the color will be there but that is mostly for the old kits. Newer kits mostly don't have that issue alr.. It's ok, i forgive you padawan. and selamat hari raya to muslim friends This post has been edited by z3r0717: Sep 9 2010, 07:38 PM |

QUOTE(xDarkKn1ghtx @ Sep 9 2010, 08:13 PM) Well.. I know this is not the appropriate place for asking but is the process of painting kits easy? if we spray each runner colour by colour. spraying colors on the runner directly is a very bad practice...to me, no difference between snap fit because the nib marks, seam lines are still there. process of painting an OOB kit is actually easy unless you mod. Pre-assemble kit -> sand nib marks/cover seam line -> prime/surfacer -> paint -> decal -> top coat. That's all, there are still a few steps in between but can skip if u want. |

QUOTE(Parody @ Sep 14 2010, 03:16 AM) Bro MyKy44 in serious mode now. i really like the burn part on the zgok(duno correct anot) very realistic, the weathering is very good..I understand your feelings, but everytime i said something like that, people would just ignore or ask why i'm so serious. I gave up. ------------- THIS is by far the BEST diorama i've ever seen. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This was submitted as one of the entries for Gunplaworld Online Contest. And those glowing parts are really LEDs and not some fluorescent paint. Kudos to the effort and the awesomeness. Some how the base is nice but i dont find it fitting the 2. but definitely love the paint jot + weathering... |
