Zergling are not too useful when you block them with like.. 2 zealots.. or 1 or 2 sentries...

Unless the idea of nydus and drops comes off.. which wont happen that fast too, you might already got ur VR ready?
*
hrmm I dont know.. I'm still trying to push the boundaries of how fast I can nydus in.. I have to check back my replay but.. maybe in 10min game time? I tried to go pool->Roaches->Lair->Nydus as fast as I can.. as time progress, opponent have more view of their main base and nydus are harder to pop without them knowing it..

Last nite I did finish a game in around 11min (gametime) after my nydus pop behind this Terran's base, mowed his small defending forces (siege tank out of position is easy to kill wink.gif)and he quit when my Roaches got to his mineral patch.. he may have tried to tech, hence the small unit count..

my other attempt at doing this strategy against another zerg backfired.. because he went Muta and my Roach army got creamed.. althou after watching the replay, I might had a better chance if I just send my Roach over rather then trying to Nydus it in.. since Zerg cant really do a wall off anyway right tongue.gif

Another way that i've been thinking is.. using Muta tu give sight and hold the "beach head" as I would like to think it.. so maybe the Muta can defend the Nydus while its poping.. and my roaches will try to finish the base.. but.. that will need longer time to setup thou

ya, saw some replays that protoss wanna wall zerg in their base to prevent them expanding by cannons early, and zerg do tech nydus fast and surprise attack into their main base while the protoss taking their sweet time expanding to rich mineral. the game end pretty fast due to good use of nydus, surprise attack to the main base then protoss mass fleet back to main base and another nydus withdrawing all forces into high yield expansion, then nydus back to main base again when the fleet arrive =P very amusing, its good to have some zerglings/overlords around the map so you can simply nydus anywhere.

Yesterday also i just tried nydus into terran base and brought in zergling + hydras... destroyed his base. Very effective....but of course u need to do this fast and dont wait until they get thors and etc..... biggrin.gif

Well, Simple enuff against terran... beat them them in the 10 minute mark....

You know they gonna wall in... just baneling bust them and send ur lings in then its GG

1 thing though when i use Zerg... i almost never use roaches.... i either tech straight to muta or hydras smile.gif

All he ever need to counter that is by.. walling using barrack / factory. extra bunker behind supply depot, offcourse it works when your opponent is unprepared

for this part of my previous post

"Last nite I did finish a game in around 11min (gametime) after my nydus pop behind this Terran's base, mowed his small defending forces (siege tank out of position is easy to kill )and he quit when my Roaches got to his mineral patch.. he may have tried to tech, hence the small unit count.. "

What ericpires said is important.. try to nydus in as fast as possible.. 10min is the mark to beat.. any later then that you may be at the disadvantage for using the "nydus rush" strategy..

imho nydus is useless in higher league,
cause almost all race will place something at thier corner(zerg will use overload) so its hard to supprise attk them...

imho, best tactic againts walled player is get 8-10 baneling burst thier entrance and follow by sufficient roach/speedling...(early game)

I'm still using nydus in diamond league. Even though they have vision over their bases doesn't mean that you can use nydus for mobility in big maps like desert oasis or metalopolis.

word from the man himself.. biggrin.gif

yes.. even if we cant surprise them with Nydus pop.. it is still useful for mobility.. like the one replay I post before where I use Nydus to send reinforcements.. Instant hydra delivery straight to their CC.. hit them where it hurts!

most of my win is form earlly rush . if drag to mid or late games usualy i lose . Terran come out with MMM or protos with mass zealot+stalker or mass void ray . zerg usualy will lose . coz zerg dont have defense avantage like terran or portos . why so unfair .

if drag till mid/late game i think 1 thing zerg can do is contain them...
take over all other mineral field and force them in thier own base...
u get advantage in economy = ur reinforcement stronger...

Hi experts,

Any good tips on early scouting againts T and P?

As usual, we can spy them at 10 supply using drones, but that's too early to know vital information..
and after that, they already walled the base.

2nd phase I will sacrifice my Overlord. But usually it will die half way from marines or stalkers before i get the speed upgrade..

If wait until overseer completed, and use changeling, i think it's quite late. Most probably they maybe have completed few of their banshees and rush to my base.

So, guys, tips on scouting pls?

scout for gas to see if theres early reaper, or for toss, 2 gate pressure to hinder FEs

theres never "too early to know vital information". its only yourself in how you determine what information you receive
