When these investors hold for appreciation cos rental rates are not feasible in view of its selling price, many lots wil remain empty.

u r right. many lots will be empty initially, but slowly it will be occupied. when they have found buyers (at the right price ). its normal nowadays when comes to landed property, esp in a hot area.

TDU is about 1 yrs old, there are still about 40% vacant lot. but i think it will be reduced to bout 20% by yr end. bcos everywhere u look, there are reno on-going
