Compared with Geo Residence at South Quay Sunway....this project totally overpriced...Mah Sing well known with their super brand cum premium price....

Mah Sing din have any experince in management of retail/shopping/leisure/hotel.... all they know is just built-sell...let see Southgate....they just leave it like abandoned baby.....yes...they can built the building nicely....but...for sure...they fail to turn tat project become desire place for live, play and work...
just a very normal developer to me...
Is just my opinion...dun marah at me all the MS fans...smile.gif

For Icon City the concept was a bit different where I was made known that MS will not sell the hotel and retails mall. Hotel and retail will be lease to out hotel chain and mall operator.

So far, out there got several developers or players tat very succeed with their own products...
Sunway Berhad for Sunway City & Giza Sunway
Malton For Pavilion
WCT for Paradigm Mall
SP Setia for Setia Mall
IGB for Midvalley
Tropicana (Djaya) for Tropicana City Mall
See Hoy Chan for One Utama
....
No Mah Sing so far....

Having said that, there isn't any new development about both the hotel and the mall. Back in 2011, MS managed to find a strategic business partner (Thai based retail group) to build and manage the mall. However, the Thai based retail group retracted the business agreement. Not sure if MS has found any new business partners for both the hotel and the mall hmm.gif

It is not so much of the Developer but the mall management company. One utama and Paradigm are of same mall management, that is why they are sucessful eventhough different developer...

Definitely themselves are not capable of running the show.

To all the icon residences home owner, good news! Tropicana Metro Park is now selling RM 1,100 psf for a studio and it only comes with 1 car park! Guess you all sudah untung lo drool.gif

Icon is not cheap but others are selling more expensive. Paradigm is already 1000psf... rclxms.gif

I guess is good news for Icon buyers since most other new launch around the vincinity is at 1000psf
Anyone have seen their latest M-Suites development which recently just given VP? This will be a benchmark of what Mah Sing future delivery quality is about. Previous delivery was not too convincing according to so many MS haters out there...
But for their other latest VPed projects e.g Kinrara Residence and Garden Residence, the delivery quality was definitely on par with most other major developer.

Why is it when an overpriced property has different developer nearby launching at even more overpriced level then we congratulate the buyers? It really doesn't mean anything unless you sell the property now and get the durian runtuh. There's no indication that later subsales will accept 1000psf price that we keep saying here (for example, bank valuer said can only 800psf).
