If u want to use WDS use broadcom chipset . Atheros will cause u problems

The best is Linksys WRT54GL with DD-WRT firmware

Trust me i don't the testing and RND myself

Hi klseet,

I follow all your intrusction and successfully patch the RT-N13U-B1 firmware to 2.0.2.5g but my problem does not solved. please help if you dont mind.

Previously i am using firmware 6.21.2.3 but i having problem of the whole router will hang which mean i can not ping the router either connect using WIFI or LAN cable. The router just reply Request Timed Out when i ping it.

After i patch the new firmware, the problem still exist. I was using about 1-2 hour, the router will disconnect from LAN. i restart it and everything is ok. Internet(Unifi) is very stable, my WAN ip seldom change but only dont know why the router will lost connection from LAN. i not even can ping it.

your help will be much appreciated. Thanks

May I know how you "patch" the firmware?

Your problem sounds like bad flash, please follow the steps below to perform clean flash:
http://klseet.com/index.php?option=com_con...id=84&Itemid=79

Also remember to check the downloaded firmware MD5 checksum before flashing.

Setup steps may refer the following links:

Still testing & using it, will only post at least after 3 days of no issue and with ASUS's permission.
So far seem to be stable, if everything goes well, should be uploaded the new UI by this weekend, stay tuned !

Sifus,

Is there any modem + router (2 in 1) for Unifi so far?

Just feel want to change it as my Samsung Galaxy 1 and 2 unable to have good surfing using current wifi. Able to have connection but after few seconds the speed dropped and it lagged forever.

Any advise?

To all experts,

I need some advise, I'm planning to buy a new router to replace the Standard units that UNIFI bundle. I've check thru the forum and its seem thats Asus N56U and Vigor 2130n is on a very high recommendation. I need some advise in choosing between the 2.

N56U - Simultaneously 2.4/5GHz @ 300Mbps
Vigor 2130n - Although can only choose 1 at a time but can up to 800Mbps???

Vigor 2130n = Single band 2.4GHz

Vigor advertise the "800Mbps" is the Total Simultaneous WAN to LAN..
Result as tested by http://www.smallnetbuilder.com
N56U = 1268 Mbps / 3 yrs warranty
Vigor 2130n = 766Mbps / 1 yr warranty ?

fyi - Vigor 2130n, no stock for the past 2 weeks...

Hi guys,
Need some technical help here.
Currently I got this setup
Unifi standard DIR615 <-> WHR G54 DDWRT on wireless client bridge

This is to supply wired LAN to my hdtv and mediaPC. Now, obviously IPTV cant work since not all router got the vlan 500 thingy. So I bought a pair of DLINK 200mbs homeplug. Its a POS, disconnect every 10min even though its on standalone wallplug and the utility software reports over 100mbs.

So, I'm considering getting one of thse RTN13, setup as wireless client bridge. Can anyone confirm if it can output to IPTV (bear in mind, its wireless, then lan)? Doesnt matter if ori firmware or only ddwrt can do it.

Thanks people.

Please note the DD-WRT on this device is still not really stable, especially on the USB features & functions.
There were few releases just this month alone, I haven't got time to test out yet ....

To restore your device, go download the latest utility & stock firmware from the official site:
http://my.asus.com/Networks/Wireless_Route...TN13U/#download

then use Firmware Restoration process to restore stock firmware:

Bro izzat, thx for the offering but I think I'll go for the 1 that hv wireless built in coz I dun like too many thgs hanging around esp now UNIFI already have 4 sets of thgs + the cable, it really look messy now. So I hope I dun need to add in additional device further as it'll become more n more messy cry.gif
