Just saw your posting, and gotta admit that the port forward setting is very much like your's, except that I don't use range, just a fix no.  Most of them I uses both (TCP/UDP).

I uses portforwad function for various stuff, from torrenting to individual computer, to CCTV DVR etc..  Thats why Its important for me.

I also was baffled with my RT-N56U, try changing your source port range to a range, not just a number, for e.g. if you use port 80, put 80:80. It worked for me after being frustrated for a few hours.

Sorry for late reply. I will try that option when I get back and let you know if that works.

Tried to change to xxxx:xxxx. Does not work. So I turn everything off overnight, all my devices.. even the unifi units and routers.

The next day most of the port forward mysteriously works. That include the single digit port no. XXXX and XXXX:XXXX formats.

I think I should have thought of switching everything off next time. Really strange.

RT N16 /Firmware 9.22.2.37 :- After almost 2 months suddenly my iptv (unifi) was freezed or hang. Iptv remote and decoder receive signal each other but cant switch on my iptv or change any channel. On my TV screen was blank (no signal from decoder or iptv menu). My ethernet connection was excellent with no issue. It's my decoder problem, unifi or RT N16?

zack8373, try to borrow another iptv stb from your friend/neighbour. you will know it's the STB or the RT N16 problem.

Just got Asus RT-N13U and set up it according to http://klseet.com/index.php?option=com_con...id=74&Itemid=70 . Right now, the firmware version is 2.0.2.5g . Also factory restored before and after flashing the firm, plus switch off, wait 1 min, etc, etc.

Our Setup: Modem->Router->Switch
Switch connected to 2 desktops, 1 PlayOn, and 1 PS3.
Wireless: 2-4 laptops, 2-3 iPad (depending on who's around in the house)

Everything is good for about 1 day, and then it starts to hang. Entire network d/c. Can't even go into the router to check log 'cause network d/c. Switch off and then switch back on okay, but had to do this twice today already.

Heard someone else got this problem few months ago, but don't see any solutions. Don't even know how to troubleshoot also.

Try flashing with the oldest firmware (the bottom most in klseet webpage you gave) ie RT-N13U.RB_2.0.2.0_0531w. That's how I fixed it.

@klseet,

I also have similar problem. Really weird since ie first time I flash 2.0.2.5g, it was ok for 6 days. Now I have check the md5sum and use method 2 to reset before and after flash, but still hang after 1 day or so. I have not the time to test method 1.

Back using RT-N13U.RB_2.0.2.0_0531w now. More than 5 days ok.

RT-N13U = I have some problem with that as well. What I did was:

1. Assign the ip address so that its fixed for various computers within the router unit.
2. Turn everything off, inc. your computer, router & other connected computer/AV equipments. (I got them fixed for unifi IPTV unit, CCTV, computers, laptops, Bluray player, even the LCD Tv that has network connections)
3. Wait for 10 mins? I waited overnight.
4. Then I turned on everything again. That way all the connected unit will be assigned known Ip address.

I believe for some unknown reason the ip mismatch rendered the computer unable to connect to the router. I have no problem until now.

Added on January 5, 2012, 4:16 pmBtw, I am using firmware 2.0.2.5g also. Changed the firmware as described by klseet instructions.

Now just awaiting upgraded firmware, currently its still in beta.

I also found that RT-N13U.RB_2.0.2.0_0531w firmware most stable.
I have since upgraded to N-16 which to me performs better.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys! Trying out the older firmware now; usually it takes about a day before the hanging start, so will have to wait. The static IP solution sounds interesting! Might consider that as an alternative to try.
