why would your warranty be void, the firmware is available for download from asus website

I know the warranty was void when i flashed it with the beta rom for unifi but since this was not due to the ROM update, would i still be able to get this replaced/fixed by Asus?

any other way of unbricking this beast?

updated info:

Managed to go to rescue mode and restored the previous firmware. the problem is that everytime i power off and power on, it goes back to the bricked mode. and have to repeat the whole rescue process again.

hi if u download both firmware files,1.0.1.7c has a newer date than 8.1.1.4 firmware, i tried updating from 8.1.1.4, all my configuration still working, can online immediately after that wink.gif

Isn't Beta version 8.1.1.4 newer than 1.0.1.7c? And unlike 8.1.1.4, 1.0.1.7c's description doesn't say it supports unifi.

If it does, do you think 1.0.1.7c is better, even if its an older version? (by about 1/2 month only actually).

2. improve usb modem support interoperability
3. improve printer support interoperability
4. speedup udp session timeout process while wan connection disconnected
5. disable media server forced full rescan feature

when will Asus launch the new firmware for rt-n56u, the firmware new UI look like the N66U
