Today YES website http://www.yes.my/ytlc-common/yes/message-wing.html

For all Yes customers registered before Dec 19th 2010:

* We offer you complimentary data services, up to 10GB per Yes ID on our network, from the launch day until Dec 19th 2010. Data billing will begin on Dec 20th 2010. However, charges still apply for our Yes 018 telephony services (voice and SMS).
For all pre-registered customers only:

* We will also extend the activation deadline until Dec 12th 2010. Those activated Yes IDs will be entitled to enjoy complimentary data services until Dec 19th 2010 as well.
*
Yup. That's RM210 worth of topup if you're using it purely on data. Looks like I can start splurging on my downloads now without worry. Until December 19th that is. tongue.gif

Kudos to them.
But for the really serious non-mobility (fixed) access. Do consider these:

yes life app can work in any internet connection, as long as you got internet connection then it should work fine.
that's why they bragged you can make/receive calls overseas at local rate as long as you got internet connection wherever you are.
