Maxis Center Gardens just asked this morning. Answer I get is late September. So I guess one thing is that the launch will not be later than september.

alamak... that is old news. Steve already said wave 4 is September. What we want to know is, are we in Wave 3, August, or Wave 4, September.

typical Maxis / Digi thinking... since they already are here, they don't need to bring it out quickly... cos whatever it is, we still have to buy from them. so they can launch in December also... Malaysians still have to buy from them

i dont like that they're supposed to make us the customers happy!

There's something I need to ask about the contracting conditions of Maxis.

I'm now currently under 3Gs iValue contract and it will only ends at early November. The thing now is that I wonder if when the iPhone 4 is available for booking, can I use the number which I contracted to the iPhone 3Gs's contract to enter contract for the iPhone 4. Has anyone enquired about this yet?

I've also done some searching from google, and this is from iPhone 3Gs online bookin faq last year

"6) I currently have a myMaxis Phone Deal contract with Maxis. Can I book an iPhone 3GS?
To be eligible for a booking, you must have:
Three (3) months or below to fulfill a twelve (12) months my Maxis Phone Deal contract."

If this runs the same for iPhone 4 this year, then I think yes I won't have a problem for the booking. But what I wanted to know then is whether I can use my old number which will still be under contract around the launch to be contracted to the iPhone 4's plan.

Yeah, but it seems that Malaysia is very unlikely to be in the August batch.
In a way, we can say that the iPhone 4 is coming very soon too as Maxis asked us to stay tuned in their E-mail, right?

Pre-order is usually 1 week before the release.
So if its coming out in early September, the pre-order will start in late August.

Should be possible; all they'll do is further extend ur contract period based on the new contract you're gonna be signing for.

As to the rest... there's no need to speculate when the iPhone 4 is going to be launched; when it's launched, U'll definitely hear of it so please stop 'spamming' My take is that it won't be coming in August

This would be my first iPhone too! My friends have been complaining that all i ever talk about is the iPhone 4. It's okay lah, i just want to make sure that i have 1 unit booked for me.
