You bought an RB750G? That's a full fledged router smile.gif You will need to setup NAT on the router so the computers can utilize the internet link. Not sure how you're going to do this as I'm not too familiar with RouterOS but you can google 'routeros pppoe nat' or something.
New Unifi user reporting in. I can confirm that the RB750G works for the Unifi. As a matter of fact, it works like a charm. You need to set up SNAT in order to enable the private network to acces the Internet.

RouterOS is seriously powerful too. Its like you can run a mini ISP with billing features, QoS, etc.

I have just left my router on for one night. Looking at the logs, I am seeing brute force attacks via SSH already. Prior to this, I had no idea that the Internet was such a hostile environment!

Seems to me the non Gigabit version RB750 is the same thing too, at half of the price too. The Spec sheet does not mention about any Vlan tagging on both models.(RB750, RB750G) So will IPTV work? then of cause neither of them have wireless access. doh.gif

buffering! buffering!
Reminded me of screamyx. I'm not happy.
Whats the point having 20mb line when u cant even stream a friggin small 360p video ?  sad.gif

change to 480p seems more faster. SD sometimes push less bandwidth to your lines. I believe it is not at ISP fault, it is more to the settings of youtube server. Even bufferring in 720p is much faster than 360p.

Please take note on these updates pertaining to UniFi installation:

1. Installation appointment slotting

Due to the upcoming festive season, NO installation appointments are to be slotted by SP Processors on September 10 AND 11, 2010.

2. Installation charges

- Effective October 1, 2010, installation charges of RM 200 will be applied across the board for ALL UniFi packages.

- The installation charges will be spread over a period of 5 months @ RM 40/month and will be included in the monthly bill starting in the first bill.

If you are refering to UniFi bill payment:

(1) http://www.unifi.my
(2) Click "Consumer"
(3) Choose "Help & Support" followed by "Billing & Payment guide".

Hope that helps.

Hello,

My installation appointment is tomorrow. I have a few question:
1) Beside the administrator account's password, any extraaccount should I ask for? (besides the login standard account sent via email)
2) Is there any 'installation fees' need to be paid to the technician on-site? (my colleague had to pay some sort of fees for installation)

Edit:
3) afaik, DIR615 is a wireless router, why is there a need to bridge another router? besides the only reason I can think of : You want to have only WIRED network to all your PC, Laptops, Media Player etc.
Cheers

1. Your IPTV pin and password
2. Installation should be free at the moment until October. Extra charges only apply if you want to pull cable through ceiling. They have list of contractors that can be select or you can pick your own cable man.
3. Because DIR615 isn't reliable enough to hanlde vlans, iptv, and internet at the same time.
