i wanna ask, if i connect a router/switch to the lan port of the dir-615 to make extra port for lan or better wifi, is it ok, or is it doable? Becos my fren told me last time he connect a switch to 1 of the port of the router then can extend extra lan port. But tat is when he is using streamyx lar.

Is Caller ID really working? In my case initially was showing Private Number, after I called to activate CLIP it started showing "Out of Area". Now I am told they have a technical glitch that will only be resolved till end Setpember 10.

I'm guessing you are asking about your unifi password that is required for PPPoE process. Your password should be as what is indicated in the Registration Confirmation printout that came along with the TM guy who installed your setup

For certainty, you have to give them your existing landline number. They will then confirm if its available

hmm I'm not living there yet. But I'll be moving there soon. Just wanted to know if there's anyone from Kuchai Lama and got Unifi installed ? cry.gif

I've trying to setup wireless bridge connection for the iptv as follows:

RB250GS[LAN4] ----> [LAN]WHR-G300N <<<wireless>>> ASUS-RT-N12[LAN]-->IPTV STB

Both routers:
- are running on dd-wrt Aug2010 built
- wireless N-mode only at ch6 40mhz width, without any password
- firewall all off
- transmission rate ranging between 150~250Mb

The sound & remote control functions all ok no problem, but the picture image is still a bit jerk & lag every few seconds.
I tried to turn on & off WMM support but no difference....

Anything I've miss out? Hope some sifu out there can help! notworthy.gif

Hey guys,

I've been using Unifi 20mbit for about a week now and am very unhappy with the crappy quality. The IPTV is also unwatchable. I'm definitely not paying for this crap.

What's the process to switch to 5mbit? (is there any lower package? I can't even get 5mbit with my supposed 20mbit package currently)

Thanks

Why your IPTV is "unwatchable"? Did you call to complain? May be it's a faulty unit?

You can't downgrade without a penalty.
Please post your speedtest from the following site:

^unwatchable meaning constant blur / lines / etc. It was already like that when they fixed it. In fact, they changed the STB already. No difference.

They did speedtest with their laptop(s) connected via Ethernet and couldn't get good speeds either. Said there was some 'maintenance' going on....

Speedtest results :

IP range : 110.159.*

Down: 1512 kbps
(189 KB/sec)
Up: 2878 kbps
(359.8 KB/sec)

They told me I could downgrade... Hmm I have to pay extra now?

That's EXTREMELY bad for VIP20. How long has this been going on? I think you may be able to downgrade without a penalty if they can't fix your connection.
Did they check the fibre optic cable running from outside? Could be bended or something... where do you live btw?
I am still extremely happy with my connection, and I would still recommend people to get unifi.

The last time they told me they had this 'maintenance' going on my speed was double the above. laugh.gif
Free boost ended early this week though.. wink.gif

Hi all, am a new user to Unifi, currently able to setup my Belkin wireless N router to work along with the DIR 615 which is setup as a bridge thanks to Riz' guide.

Question on the Internet indicator (globe icon?) color when connected. Is it supposed to be orange/amber in color as opposed to the ethernet port's green color? Thanks for any advice yah!
