Bro, go read the reviews, or at least the one I linked for you. I'm not going to do your thinking for you.

thanks bro. i read the review you posted to me. those professional guys mentioned that in terms of performance 4850 bea 5670. i think i not that hardcore gamer but 4850 is cheaper than 5670. so i wonder if i buy 5670, does it support my purpose? those professional guy also mentioned that 5670 is good in terms of some addition features but only lose in performance. i really wonder which to get now.

One option is to wait for a few more months for the release of the HD 5670's HD 6000 successor and that card should settle any issues.

If you want something now, consider the games you intend to play and the monitor you're playing with. If it's only a 1280x1024, then the HD 5670 might be fine at maxing out any game on it. Or if your game is too heavy, you could always reduce the game screen resolution to something more bearable.

Then again, the noise of a HD 4850 might not actually be of any significance to your ears and you may have a good air-cond and fans to handle your cooling needs. Or the performance is good enough to justify the cons. It seems like a lot of people has this mindset, but a few have converted to prefer cool and quiet after dealing with a hot and noisy graphic card. Considering the price, it's not too costly to try this thinking and then decide on your preference for your next card, maybe a year later.

My two cents.

Guys, just want to inform if some of you don't know already.

ASUS 5750 1GB is having a promotion - RM399 only. Currently still available in CZONE. Someone on the forum told me (can't find back the thread, wanna thank him)...i grabbed one, and another guy grabbed one yesterday i think.

So better grab it fast if u r looking for this card...almost RM100 discount from previous price!

Other 5750 no price cut yet.

Good luck hunting.
*
I saw it selling at RM379 in a booth in WCG the other day. Felt like grabbing one but that there would be no point since I got a 5850 already.

The 5970 is downclocked to satisfy some standard. You'll need to overclock it to get 2x5870 perf.

If your FPS is already over 60, a wiser choice might be not to touch it.

Very few people would benefit from it, and most might be tournament players. Also, the HD 5870 tends to hit above 60fps with maximum graphics quality for most games.

I'll go with average fps, as 30fps is my 'playable' minimum.

Also, most LCDs are limited to 60fps refresh rate.

Do not concern yourself for the highest FPS possible, what you need to focus on is to minimize FPS drop from 60 frames.

55~60.1 fps is where you want to be first, that means when you play a game try the 'Video settings' that you could get that range of fps...after that when you feel like you want nicer eye-candy looking graphics, you could compromise fps..

Your 5870 needs 1920 X 1080 24" LCD for it to be satisfied laugh.gif
Plus your rig (from your sig) deserves a big monitor! ohmy.gif
My pairing of 5850 with AOC 24" is superb rclxms.gif

was waiting for this too.. disappointed hahaha

Releasing July's driver at the end of July is cheating!

It would be nicer if they release to the first Tuesday of the month.
