You could try removing the card now and try the 4200 to see if it has an acceptable performance.

Dont worry.HD4200 IGP can play dota smoothly..

Even my 780/785G/HD3200 can play smoothly

They always drag the release date.
I hope they will produce good driver after all. But, I won't give such a high hope on them(ATi/Nvidia Driver Team should be fired).
I'm looking forward more to TwL Modded CCC 10.7 in the future.

even my setup is under utilize, weekdays not so much time 4 gaming. weekend? quite a few hours, but really hard to hit even 5 hours per day

yeap i did.
on DOTA,
i removed the card,and when i upped the reso up to 1920x1080(used regedit to changed the resolution) its seems a little lagging and not so smooth

i wonder.
thats what i thought But not so smooth for me though
first time using the onboard IGP.

UMA + sideport = enabled both
and still it seems like lagging.
uninstalled and installed new drivers also.

my specs if you were wondering :

phenom II 955be
ddr3 4Gigs rams
samsung 1tb
Asus m4a785-t V evo
Corsair HX520

same here i just need the processing CPU power and lots of rams for my rendering works only.

i'm using m4a785td-v evo too..but nvr lag in dota -.- except host lag or my line lag
samo i only have 2gb ram..lolz

what do u expect?? even with my rig as below.. any resolution on DOTA above 1280 x 1024 i can feel the not-so-smoothness. but games like return of warrior 3D mmorpg is very very smooth on 1920 x 1200

but your not using the IGP right?
it was really a surprise for me that Dota really need some real graphics card to perform well.

i see,the voltage like lock and cannot tweak by software..

What card is yours? Not all can be change. Some RBE cannot recognize it.

PCS+ powercolor.. OC GPU hd5850

DotA works fine on my shiat radeon X200 what...

What is your gaming resolution? That's a very important piece of information that we're missing here.

Perhaps you have a performance sapping virus/anti-virus running in the background?

cannot be. because now im playing this 1920 x 1200 mmorpg everyday and i dont have the not-so-smooth problem but only with WC3..
