plan to upgrade to HD5870 but, after heard rumors on new HD 6xxx, now I'm in dilemma. Should I wait or just buy HD5870?

Actually I kinda feel that 5 series dominate too little time. It's just one year. I still can remember the 4000 series dominate more than 1 year.

Well... If you are not planning to change graphic after your purchase this then you wait for the 6000 series. ( Assume you have enough money ).

If you want to save money but wanna get 7000 series later on, get 5000 series first ( Of course wait it drops price first biggrin.gif )

OR if you want to save money but not planning to change graphic card later, still get 5000 series. ( 5000 series sure is a best bang for bucks rclxm9.gif )

To be honest, I cant even differentiate btw dx 11 and dx10 during game.. All seems the same to me.. Enjoy the game is more important biggrin.gif . I think those 4 series user include you should be happy that it can still run high quality on recent games. I'm so worried my 5870 cant last long. Especially when the 28nm released, our performance quality dropped like there is no tomorrow LOL

i think because ur playing dx10 games.. that's why not notice..
but if the game can play in dx11.. got different on shading, texture and realistic mode..

i did compare 4870 with 5770 last time.. it's nice..
since the performance quite the same, i not bother switching..
though the price also very stable no chance to grab with cheap price..

nvidia can't fight.. no price war..

I got play some dx11 game such as dirt 2, alien vs predator, but not much diff >.< Maybe I did not try the dx10 version of dirt 2. tongue.gif
Haha, nvidia dropped their price just 4 months after the released, you can see what is the pressure behind them. I have no idea what will the nvidia market be after AMD release 6000 series, maybe even 460 also can't help them already doh.gif

VR-Zone reports that yield issues are still present in the 6xxx series.
-68xx now launched first in November
-partners haven't got cards yet (they're not told prices either)

Bad news for us all.

DiRT 2 use very little DX11. no idea about alien vs predator. If the game full support DX11, Currently AMD 5k & Nvidia 4xx still sweat.gif to handle it.

I think multiple displays should be ok with that but you might not be able to activate that in game mode.... sorta read that somewhere...
