Guys, I need help here, icon_question.gif
My FungShui Led down-lights 9 pcs (on 24 hours), going kaput one by one in the last 3 days. doh.gif
Even though they give me 6 months warranty, I think it won't last looking at the situation. shakehead.gif
Very damaging to the plaster ceiling changing the light all the time. cry.gif
I like the LED casing and hope to retain it.
I heard that if you change the driver it will last.

Any suggestions !!!??? notworthy.gif

I think I paid like RM 70 a bulb last year... but looks like it's cheaper now... but rather trust Singapore brand la.... they said 1-1 replacement for a year but I guess I didnt' have to use the warranty cause didn't burn.

Even got warranty also damn ma fan have to take down and drive to the store to change... no point.. might as well pay a few more bucks so I don't have to worry about it....maybe cause I lazy hahaha

Dear seniors,

Just would like your opinion on the prices for LC lighting? Is their price reasonable? I've just found out that all the lights are nett price, no discount.

Hope that you could enlighten on this. Thank you.

alot of times is the driver problem. but they will just change you another with the same problem. china brand driver is not "truthful". we also sell these lights and we also face same problems with drivers, that is why now we dun sell much nowadays. respectable brands are hard to come by nowadays, with prices coming down sharply. alot are compromised with bad quality

if you guys wish to change to led bulbs, we have the bulb type(attached picture) from LG Korea(original). 2yr warranty(limited), 7.5w, and bright too. what's more, it's UNBREAKABLE! tried it many times.... thumbup.gif RM65 each

Damn... And i just bought like 14 pcs of china led.... The cost is less than half the price outside.

But phillips just came out with their own led range

It should be more reliable than other brands.

In long term, yes. Its not just the electricity cost. Led generate very little heat and are not glaring to the eyes.

LED generates very less heat, this is correct but not for the driver, the driver will generate a lot of heat, even more than energy saving bulb

Driver is used to power up your LED, LED is a light emitting diode in which can be powered up by DC voltage only, therefore driver is needed, it is a self-contained power supply that has outputs matched to the electrical characteristics of your LED, consist of AC to DC converter and hence the loss will be turned to heat and spread around

There is no longterm. Can you warranty the LED bulb for fews years? All the bullshit spec write 50000hr but can't even give a fews yrs warranty.

Once spoil between a years, you are already lost your money.

Lifespan on LED specification is on LAB and test environment. In real life is much shorter.

LED generate very little heat, but is just on the source. Need to consider the Driver, try touch the driver and feel the heat.

LED can blind you, is more glaring than CFL.

I will use LED for specific application, but not going to replace entire house lighting. It still won't replace all the CFL application. Downlight LED still long way to go, and the brightness produce are not matchable to CFL. If we compare same brightness of LED and CFL, we have to pay a lot more.

It is not about the LAB test. It is the seller get a bunch of bullshit china LED and claim last that long and save your cost. Once spoil not even a year, the china man laugh away with your money from conning you. And you keep get another LED bulb again. And the price not even cheaper than the CFL.

Thanks for correcting. But still feel that led not that eye straining compared to the regular 4/6" downlight. This probably because of lower watt than CFL so less bright.

I think some manufacture able to make the LED not too focus, Maybe by putting the frosted glass casing.
