Get Buffalo brand, haven heard anyone complains about this brand here, WDC and Seagate has more complains here..
If you can't get that brand, Transcend is also not too shabby.
For me, either brand is fine, as long it's value and fit my taste  whistling.gif

At Digital Mall, the most returned by customer is Buffalo brand? Still confused which one is the best?

the world in HDD is so so so bad right now....
Samsung HDDs are gonna be history, Seagate & WD is cutting warranties, prices are still that high, now left choices is to scavenge for left overs of Sammy HDDs and turn to Toshiba....

Is your HDD dead? Did you check your BIOS settings? Maybe the Sata Port that you insert into is disabled. hmm.gif

tested , Ok my Primary is SATA 3.0 HDD , then i plug out my IDE cable from DVD DISC direct to my old HDD IDE , when enter BIOS , it can detect that

IDE Primary: Idle
IDE Secondary : Maxtor .........
SATA1 : Hitachi ............

but when boot into window , it show "NTLDR is missing" , izit my boot sequence wrongly? It should be boot SATA1 into Window and my IDE HDD should appear maybe E: F: G: ???

after i plug off the IDE HDD , then it boost normally to window blink.gif blink.gif blink.gif

i did google some information , they say need to boot window CD and format the old HDD ???

Saw the D2 there? That is the one, if DDR3 it will be D3 instead

it is not encourage to do so lo,because if u accidentally drop on the floor,at least cover can have protection, chance to spoil is slim.

other than that,if ur drink accidentally tumpah to it, ur naked hdd kapu lo...
becareful that tikus or cicak will go inside ur naked hdd too.
beside that, alot of dusk will goes inside naked hdd...so can effect the durability and reliability 1.
