thinking about buying from them or paying them money to fixing my ST3500320AS 7200.11 500gb hdd.

samsung F4 EG(ECOGREEN) is the 2tb that you have now and it is not for performance. please understand this. they are 5400rpm

Samsung F3 in the other hand are 7200rpm.

Samsung F4 with high performance 7200rpm now only has 320gb version.

By the way, Samsung already sell hdd division to seagate, samsung already GG now. look at their website.

anyone still have modded Nokia CA42 cable that fix BSY error(busy state) for 7200.11 Seagate drive?

mind to sell me or borrow me? i'll pay for the delivery fee back and forth. HDD kinda expensive, i think i should use back my old stucked HDD that i kept in my cabinet for a year.

QUOTE(em0ti0n @ Dec 26 2011, 05:52 PM)
Q: If want to raid HDD, need to emptied the hdd first?
*
i'm not sure as i have no experience with this.

but i assume that, if you're using Raid-0 you will have to format both harddrive first.

But for Raid-1, you will need time for hdd to clone the data to another hdd for Raid-1 setting.

Correct me if i'm wrong.

HDD won't have any effect at all.

aren't the myth is about SSD ?
does space determine the lifetime of a SSD? This is the question i'm really interested in.
