guise,
what is the different between
1TB SAMSUNG 32M 7200 RPM & 1TB W.D. GREEN 64M 7200 RPM
both same price Rm165 CZONE
*
WD Green never runs at 7200 RPM, dun get con by C-Zone.

Why do i say so?

Check under the specification tab.

http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=110 - Caviar Blue, runs at 7200 RPM
http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=120 - Caviar Green, runs at so called "intellipower", a way to cover up so they wont lose it's market on the caviar green.

Imagine if WD tells you that Caviar Green spins at 5400RPM, surely no one will go for it.

For those who still able to get cheap price for Samsung 1TB F3, better do so, you won't believe how much they have been raised.

It seems WD will be following Seagate's trend, to drop down their warranty period from 3 to 2 years for their desktop/laptop HDD.

Affected line: Caviar Blue/Green

But thats only like 10% speed...
Its like subscribing to Unifi 5Mbps and getting 10% speed only (64 KBps)
or buying a Ferrari which claims it can do 300 KM/h but can only hit a top speed of 30 KM/h !!!  doh.gif

Unifi 5Mbps isn't 5 Megabytes per second dude.

the world in HDD is so so so bad right now....
Samsung HDDs are gonna be history, Seagate & WD is cutting warranties, prices are still that high, now left choices is to scavenge for left overs of Sammy HDDs and turn to Toshiba....
