Not so sure if this is old news, but HTC Android 2.2 Froyo update for HTC Desire is out. The prerequisites is you must have a Rooted phone and Koush Fakeflash installed on SD. More details on this link:

if buy from forum for Telco set is about S$730-750. Buy at shop is S$760 original HTC set with Spore warranty. But the warranty is 1 year compared to 2 years by SIS in Msia.

it's just a leaked beta version custom cooked.. not the official one i think.

Really feeling the pinch of not being able to A2SD now. Seriously contemplating rooting. The only thing stopping me is the malas-ness of backing up and re-installing all the apps. If only there was a simpler to root while keeping everything all the apps/settings intact..

Guys . what happen when IF we lost the phone ?

imagine all our facebook , ymail , gmail all sync to the phone with one touch can excess without key in the password and username .

the thief can easily open our private emails .

how to stop this if it happen ?

My solution, find any computer that have internet access. Change all password for all account (facebook, gmail, yahoo mail, skype, tweeter, etc) immediately. I think this is the only way. Any other way?

im on custom 2.2 froyo sense rom now.. its quite stable as i never experienced hang or reboots. Apps2sd froyo is also working natively if the app supports it. Thanks to the xda team, on custom rom froyo we can set where the apps to be installed either internal or sd. No quite extreme boost on this beta sense froyo as on this beta leak, htc has not yet optimzed all sense apps n widgets to perform better under the boost of froyo. Hopefully on the official version everything will be much better.

From this video, the HTC Sense Froyo 2.2 has impressive speed.



Imagine how impressive it is when it's officially release. Great times ahead.

Well, I'm sure the price will go down soon enough. Even now many sellers are reducing its prices. Bear in mind that cheaper prices are only available in phone shops, NOT telco companies.
