HTC Service center is the best - why you wish to go to others ?

If you bought it from SIS - go back to seller to claim warranty - as SIS is 2 year warranty . All sets in Msia warranty will still be valid as launch was in Dec 2009 and the first batch warranty expiring only Dec 2011. Even AP sets by Msian dealers carry a 18 month warranty - so is still applicable. However if yours is bought from overseas - you have to pay a service fee to HTC to process and hope they can replace whatever parts free for you

Before that check your battery - are you using original ? Sometimes cheap generic batteries will have this problem - I faced before . Once i bought a RM30 battery from ebay  ( original RM150) ; after a few months the HD2 was hot averaging 38 to 45 C. After I replace with the original battery it was OK

You misunderstood me. The battery will not turn hot. A defective battery will cause unit to be hot

What's the difference between this two version? Should't .3 be newer than .1
*
Agreed, definitely .3 is an upgraded to the bugs they have in .1....
I think they remove .1 off the web when they replace it with the new one...

i managed to use rom 3 before revert back to rom 1.66 as i found out after using application that required/option to landscape view eg photo albums and gps progrm, when i switch back to home screen or phone dialer both of the items keeps in landscape mode(you know how difficult" home screen in landscape mode.. and the screen will hang for few second, but with rom 1.66 i never encounter such a problem.
But i kept the radio (2.15.50.14) as it is better when compare to original (2.07) 1.66 rom. My gsm rssi increase .2 to .3 percent.. and battery wise im still monitoring..
the major different of the new radio is they just include NetCf 3.5, removed threaded sms, adding Bing and the new radio ... the rest i think just the same even the home screen they add a couple of links
Leon87kimon : I don't understand your question - too brief ; please elaborate in greater detail

I think what Leon87kimon trying to do is monitoring video from WAN using vlc streaming...with HD2
I dont think it can be achived with just VLC as winmobile doesnt have VLC plugin that works.. as i ve been trying to stream my tv(using dreambox) to lan and wan..i cannot view any of the video on my HD2 even in lan enviroment, what i can do is just change tv channel, read the epg and view which channel they are watching at home and sending text message to my tv. Using ordinary pc/notebook i can view the video
And im using vlc streamer, video mobile converter with free-dns and my broadband is unifi...
I can only use CorePlayer, but what i get is just pixelate screen with the audio and I hvnt use HAMACHI tho...one of this day i might try.I think it is able to do if the video from the webcam is converted to be broadcast with podcast....

I know video monitoring and video streaming are 2 different entity but I guess the principle is same as it is just to view VIDEO away from home with hd2

Hope you don't misunderstood Benny. The battery may or may not be the problem. It is only a possibility.

If you know anyone who is using HD2 it is better to test using their battery first to confirm, before spending money on a new battery that may not solve your problem.

HSPL3 your phone and you can install any rom ( including official roms ). However if you install official rom, your HSPL will be removed but you can always reinstall it back easily - just 3 minute process

The HD2 GPS detect/lockup is very good : i'd say is the best in all the Windows Mobile phones I have used. So actually the AGPS is not necessary at all. I never used it. It will just psychologically makes one feel better using it . Anyway the cab file for AGPS is readily available - just google for it if you need it

And please post link about the incompatibility with HSPL3 ??? This rom works perfectly and is highly recommended to install using HSPL3 only

If you wish to install make sure you download the right version ; especially if your set is TMobile USA need more care. Anyway I noted yours is Germany TM , so it is OK to use the Europe or HK version ( htc.com/europe or htc.com.hk-en/ )

Installing 3.14 rom over HSPL2 or 3 will have issue with your RAM

If you want to use 3.14 rom just change HSPL to SPL then only install ROM from SD card. But having only SPL, you will need the exact official ROM that matches your device serial number.

Further on this, it will write SPL 3.03 on your device. 3.03 SPL cannot be removed using HSPL 2 / 3. The only way is to flash an older official ROM to overwrite the 3.03 SPL.

Boy96 problem is finding the official ROM for his device. So the easy way is to use a custom ROM.

I need A-GPS cause even the normal QuickGPS cant lock fast enough inside a car with V-Kool tinting, my dad's previous Nokia C5 which has A-GPS lock within 15 second inside the car

SIS warranty does not cover the SD card. The free SD card is usually given by the shop you buy from not from HTC or SIS.

But you can go back to the shop you bought your device and see if they want to replace for you.
