Does this phone have A-GPS? Where to enable it?

So sick of my HTC P3300 because no A-GPS, cause if go inside car with v-Kool, satellite signal cut off.. but using A-GPS on my dad's Nokia C5, still fullbar GPS

so is this phone's A-GPS good?

HKLM\Software\HTC\SUPL aGPS\
EnableAGPS: 1
ServerIP: 74.125.113.192

maybe one day if google change its IP, just do nslookup on supl.google.com

to know if it works:
don't use agps yet
go somewhere with no GPS signal, but got telco signal
see your location on google map. you should see a big blue circle telling you your location within few hundred meter
now enable agps
see your location again. now your location is closer to your real location.

this will only work if your location are overlapped within 2 or more BTS. if you got signal form only 1 BTS, the big blue circle will appear.

and where do I access

Need some advise for fellow sifu:

Saw this is on promo at pcfair, is  RM1999 a good buy?
What is closest competing phone (spec & price) for  this?
Was told that Android is more on game and WinMo will be for PIM, right?

Thanks
*
at the PC Fair, the official from HTC SiS is RM2099, the RM1999 is the price that u get when you subscribe to DG Smart Plan and that phone

I am assuming you are on Windows Mobile. Just select Settings/System/External GPS/Access - tick Manage GPS automatically

Where can I find it in HD2? Lost in HTC sense

OR countercheck the HTC AGPS service should be turned ONĀ  in HTC Settings -> Location -> AGPS Service: Turn ON.
no AGPS service inside HTC location settings

There are some 3rd party system utility solutions that offer you to select A-GPS as default : Checkup BSB Tweak or HD2 tweaks - I remeber one of them allow you to set AGPS as default
BSB dont have a-gps setting

Do you enable Quick GPS - all GPS data download is valid for 7 days. With this your lockup will also be faster

Downloaded

Based on my experience using the HD2 - it has a very good GPS lockup; the fact your car is heavily tinted shouldn't affect it as the tint is only reflecting off light. Infact the lockup is so fast and good, I dont use AGPS at all and rarely use Quick GPS.
*
seriously, kept losing signal in the car, my Garmin GPS signal bar always drop to 1 bar, then jump to 3 green bar, then back to red bar

You need to HardSPL first before you can flash radio. Flashing radio will not delete your phone data

Refer here for HSPL and radio links : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=713977

Suggest you flash 2.08 and above . Make sure is with 0.50 NOT 0.51

Your charging issue seems like hardware issue with the battery contacts ?
*
I really dont understand how to install HSPL even with those guidance

the cant on issue is when my phone lags and I power off, then I cant power on back..

and, usually if I connect my phone to PC the phone will say connect to ActiveSync or Disk Drive, now dont have, I bet somebody played with my phone and change that.. how can I get that back?

I downloaded Hotfix from HTC South East Asia site, install hotfix to my HD2 and it takes some space on the phone storage.. is it normal?

edit- and I want to flash my radio, on XDA- DevelOPErs forum, it says this

IMPORTANT: To install/uninstall this HSPL3 there must be any SPL version from this list on your device:
SPL 1.42.0000, SPL 1.62.0000, SPL 1.66.0000, SPL 2.07.0000, SPL 2.08.0000, SPL 2.10.000

where do I check my sPL version on my HD2?

To check, go to bootloader mode - press vol down and on/off button simultaneously - phone will boot , you will see tricolr screen. The spl version is shown at bottom. If you have been reading the HSPL instructions, you'd have know how to check this
*
Press this during phone on or off?

During ON
If I press vol down and on/off it will go to vibrate mode

During OFF,
If I press vol down and on/off it will just boot normally

can I just watch a video on how to check ?

Yes, the hotfix takes up space as it is adding files to your system

Have you ever root ? If not, just go ahead and HSPL it . To check, go to bootloader mode - press vol down and on/off button simultaneously - phone will boot , you will see tricolr screen. The spl version is shown at bottom. If you have been reading the HSPL instructions, you'd have know how to check this

ok got it,

PB8100 HX-BC
SPL-1.66.HSPL
XE

CotullaHSPL 0x50

now what should I do?
