Hello, I got a question here.
For the upgrade speed, normally need wait how long for the process?
Mine already one week, still no response=.=
*
Mine take less than 1 week, last Thursday submitted the form, then the same week of Sunday TM technician came and active the 4mbps, and another day I was able to get the 4mbps speed.

TM has fixed my billing from RM 160 to RM 140 for the 4 Mbps

Hopefully price reduced in future due to UniFi price just beza RM 9

When you think about it.. 4 Megs actually gives you more downloads for your buck because its uncapped always..

Compared to 5 Meg 60 GB allowance.. it's pretty much an oxymoronic decision by TM to cap Unifi....

1TB+ compared to 60 GB monthly allowance?

The best choice is still 4 Megs Streamyx lol....

So I think that price difference/parity is justified...

Hmm.. currently I am using Streamyx Cool Unipack 2Mbps... for RM83 per month...

Actually, I really interested to upgrade to 4mbps one.. only add RM5 more... so it will be RM88 per month...

But, can I upgrade my streamyx from 2mbps to 4mbps....? Below is my modem technical reading....

it depends on the port availability, but if you are able to get 2mbps, usually it won't be an issue to get 4mbps, just my 2 cents
and the margin on your line was pretty good i would say

agreed. if you surf a lot everyday, especially sites with heavy graphics, or watch lots of youtube, those already use up many GB's per month, + some downloads, 60GB is really not much.

Your line stats are good, people just got confused because of the scale used to measure your line stats...

Your attenuation for Downstream is actually 8.5 not 85... the scale used in the chart is 0.1 db lol.. so its 85 x 0.1 = 8.5db which is VERY GOOD!!!

Hell with your excellent DS and US SNR, 22.4 and 15.5 respectively, your 4 Meg connection should fly after 24 hours of the technician inspecting your line...

They WOULD not provision you with a 4 Meg service if your DS attenuation is more than 30 db lol.....

Your current speedtest is just indicative of the fact that you have just been port capped at 4 Meg, but your account cap is still at 1 Meg, which gives the 1.56 Meg result using speedtest..

Take it easy bro.. its all good to me...

The SNR margin needs to be higher. 15.4 Is only at the border.

If DS SNR was less than 20db, then yes, it is a cause for alarm... but in the technician's sheet for provisioning, they only look at the DS SNR and not the US SNR, so the US SNR can be much lower than the DS SNR and they can still provision the 4 Meg service...

TL:DR; DS SNR>20 = sufficient for 4 Mbps service

yo bro, what you said hit the money for me, this morning when I wake up I relentlessly do speed tests and downloads to test my connection, when I see my new ip which is set at 218 (can't run away from this) I know something has change... and this is the result biggrin.gif

@kos.zealous

Line stats look good, go for it...

Minimum torrent speed depends on the seeders in the swarm...

wat to download until 1tb permonth ? so much porn or adult things to download ? 4mbps is merely 450-550kb/s and in order to download u all so-called HD movie or bluray which is like 20gb / title , u need at least 8hours or so ... and the movie is juz 2hours .... 2hours movie and use 8hours to download
