not yet... currently i'm only using 1mbps package...

Hmm.. currently I am using Streamyx Cool Unipack 2Mbps... for RM83 per month...

Actually, I really interested to upgrade to 4mbps one.. only add RM5 more... so it will be RM88 per month...

But, can I upgrade my streamyx from 2mbps to 4mbps....? Below is my modem technical reading....

Unfortunately, there's no 4mbps at my area... maximum capped at 2Mbps.. even in my modem upstream/downstream reading is 5096/512...
I also don't understand why.. probably it was on interleaved mode.. err.. 4Mbps should in fast mode, isn't it?

Just wanna ask, why now I frequently get 110.xx.xx.xx and 175.xx.xx.xx IP address... usually I get 115.xx.xx.xx IP...
It seems that kind of IP address have slightly high latency... 57ms and above and sometime it can reach 70ms to KL server when doing speedtest....

I think, 2Mbps have the same privelleges as 4Mbps user since both of them are considered as High-end entry package for Streamyx....
I'm always getting 110.xx.xx.xx, 115.xx.xx.xx, 175.xx.xx.xx IP which as I read here, grouped under "premium" IP for Unifi, and high-end Streamyx...

4Mbps should get about 320KB/s and above...
200-260KB/s are standard for 2Mbps package like me....
Better you check your SNR margin and Line attentuation, as well as your upstream and downstream speed reading on your ADSL modem....

go to your router web setup interface...
192.168.1.1 . Most of the router used this IP address as their default IP..

RM268 is for normal package.., only those who are really rich and wanna to donate more money to TM will take that package... RM268+RM26 line rental+call charges
4Mbps only RM140 per months under Streamyx BB Deal packages... No phone rental+4Mbps+free call to all TM fixed line....

Just got back from TMPOINT, my area now already ready for 4Mbps....
But I'm still thinking whether wanna upgrade or not based on current situation now (capping so on...)

For me,it depends on you actually.. You used and you know...

Since you said that P1 has served u better, I think you should go for P1 instead.... If u want to go for Streamyx 4Mbps, ask your neighbor who are using Streamyx. How good the speed,stable or not etc....

Streamyx is ok, but it depends on location. Same goes to P1... For me, I preferred wired broadband more because at my area, it has been proved that wired broadband are far far far more stable and it gives me impressive speed all time. Ping also relatively low compared to wireless broadband.

I haven't turned off my modem for about 1 week, but no disconnection at all.... Probably my distance from their DSLAM are just about 300M from my house.... BTW, I'm not using 4Mbps..I'm using 2Mbps....

Based on my current line statistics, can I get a good line stability when I asked the technician to cap my downstream to 5Mbps??
I just upgraded my streamyx from 2Mbps to 4Mbps and technician probably will check my line today...

Whoa! currently my line are in Fast mode... Interleaving as I know will increase my ping
Better I stay with current cap... since I'm enjoying good speed and good ping also...

Unfortunately, technician will only come to my home next week.... he said need to rush back to his hometown for reunion dinner tomorrow...

One more question, what is mean by green F and red X in my order status???

What is mean by Pending Customer?? I will really pissed off if they said that was my mistakes because the installer did not come to my house today....
Since the installer itself has told to me he would come to my house next week for checking thus if my line qualified for 4Mbps, he will activate my account (which takes 3 w/days) from 2Mbps to 4Mbps...

Can you post ur modem technical data page (eg your SNR Margin, Attenuation, Upstream and Downstream rate etc)
I'm from Bagan Serai and technician will come to my house tomorrow to install my 4Mbps (supposedly on last Tuesday, but he takes leaves early for CNY)
I'm really worried now because my downstream rate only 4047Kbps and Upstream rate just 509Kbps plus u said that Taiping (which is far more "urban" than Bagan Serai just got 4Mbps on this month...
But my SNR Margin and attenuation seems pretty well...

Downloading at full speed now... IP range : 218.111.xx.xx

Hopefully it will stay like this...
