Bought mine on Saturday in Malacca from Maxis Centre in MP. Sales guy didn't even know what is the HTC Desire.
Anyway, bought it for RM1,499 and pay additional RM50 cos new line. Only got a Maxis phone pouch as free gift, no screen protector or case available yet ...even from HTC shop next door.
Newbie to Android (quite seasoned with Windows - bought my first Windows PDA 11 years ago) but found that it's very powerful. Synched old Contacts from my old Nokia E71 to Gmail and back to the HTC Desire - pretty cool!
Now looking high and low for an offline GPS software to use on it - understand Papago X5 is still not supported. Any alternative that can use Malsing/Malfree maps?

QUOTE(Pennywise @ Jun 1 2010, 11:48 PM) Go to your Contacts > Menu > View > uncheck Facebook. When using SMS and touching on the "People" icon on the top right to select Contacts, the list still includes FB friends. How do you remove them from the list there?

I bought a matte screen protector and the colored pixelation is really bad on a white background. Screen also looks darker and less vibrant - felt like tearing out after 10 minutes, but I'm the type who keep car keys together with my phone in the pocket Anyone bought Martin Fields screen protector? It costs about RM120 for 2 pieces and is supposed to be much better. QUOTE(furryfluffy @ Jun 9 2010, 04:17 PM) Thnx. i think i can i just simply guessed it means instead of seeing a smooth white sheet of white background, i will see the white background with "pixels" on the whole white background like watching TV with my face directly in front on the TV screen... Anyway, u bought the anti-glare from? Price? (err... wrong section to ask this question rite? ) Added on June 10, 2010, 8:40 amQUOTE(eye @ Jun 10 2010, 12:52 AM) does anyone know where to get this micro-usb portable charger??? tks. Is there anyway to display the message box bigger when creating an SMS? I find it difficult to see what I've typed, especially once I have 4 lines or more.
Btw, subscribed to WaveSecure for $15.90/yr yesterday -- seems quite cool, especially the locate feature.
