how can u ask someone else to judge?~ everyone have different eyes~

these days, above 22" will support full HD, but it's not important as full HD can only be found from blue-ray (never tried) and movie trailers only~ aiihhh, wanna find HD also hard, Full HD harder~

Things might even be worse than usual this time around.

Suit Over Faulty Computers Highlights Dell’s Decline

Hopefully the suit won't effect the discounts much however it turns out.

i dunno if this is da rite place to ask..

1) why my LCD,when run vid/mov at 720p above or running game.the fast movement is not sharp, something like flash..is it because the response time or other thing?is it more sharp if i go for LCD with HDMI?

You mean jerky, skipping frames or laggy?

Your spec should be able to handle 720p videos reasonably. My old Athlon X2 3800+ dual core can play 720p videos fine.

The difference between HDMI and DVI is that HDMI may carry audio. The video is the same.

Perhaps there is a background application or a virus that is hurting your computer's ability to perform?

if it jerks like what everling mentions, it's because of low processing power~ there's also the possibility that your digital link isn't good (if u're using DVI)~ better to use VGA in my opinion~

There is no possibility.... being digital... 1 or 0... yes or no. .... what u may observe is "sparkies", lost signal for very long dvi/hdmi cables, that has no relation to what being displayed on screen.

Inadequate processor(s) power or inferior/incompatible codec

thank u again~ i always look forward to your posts that is generous to share wisdom~

yeah, sparkies due to long dvi cables~ i read that somewhere~

i have a question that I'm puzzled as well when I was using DVI; can a movie be shortened because of a DVI cable being used instead of VGA? (could be my DVD corrupted, just wanna make sure before I throw it away)~

^ serious question?... same instance where error occurs?... either bad disk surface, bad encoded info, or dvd reader not sensitive enough

Finally had some time to set-up my monitors!

Before:

Dell U2311H vs Samsung 226BW. As you can see, 23" 16:9 vs 22" 16:10 does not have much difference in height. The difference lies mostly in the width. At this point I'm still displaying a 1680x1050 wallpaper on my 1920x1080 screen:

After (Dell U2311H x 2, now the monitors cover my left speaker) :

Now with a nice 3840x1080 wallpaper smile.gif :

Still haven't fully tidied up the cables yet...

The viewing angle is great! I can now watch dark movies while leaning back and I won't lose any contrast/details.

After colour calibration, the colours look great and natural. You can get the .ICC file and calibration settings at http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2311h.htm

So far so good biggrin.gif
