QUOTE(sexualpower @ Jul 1 2010, 05:46 PM) thank u again~ i always look forward to your posts that is generous to share wisdom~ i have a question that I'm puzzled as well when I was using DVI; can a movie be shortened because of a DVI cable being used instead of VGA? (could be my DVD corrupted, just wanna make sure before I throw it away)~ QUOTE(BeastX @ Jul 1 2010, 06:38 PM) ^ serious question?... same instance where error occurs?... either bad disk surface, bad encoded info, or dvd reader not sensitive enough it's confirmed that the video isn't corrupted when played by a year 2005 laptop but unable to play when I was using DVI connection~ could be due to my GF4ti or the strange resolution of 1680 x 1020~i switched to DVI for a week now and when I tried to revert back to VGA, there is no display~ I checked the settings and whenever I reset them back to Analog Display, there is no signal, what did I miss?~ |

As I mentioned this will be due to the disk un-able to be read by your PC's dvd-rom drive, but apparently is fine on your laptop's dvd-rom drive. ...i switched to DVI for a week now and when I tried to revert back to VGA, there is no display~ I checked the settings and whenever I reset them back to Analog Display, there is no signal, what did I miss?~ Also one reason I have a few dvd-drives around to read bad DVDs... vga or dvi.... restart your PC instead..... or just shut-down your PC, disconnect DVI, connect VGA, restart your PC.... done. |

QUOTE(nkarul85 @ Jul 7 2010, 11:13 PM) wanna asking abot life span LCD Back-light CCFL (LED back-lit being longer life) will kaput usually before the panel fails..... However... there are cases in which electrical connections at the side of the panel come apart where you'll see horizontal/vertical lines... there are also cases where the liquid crystal leaks from the panel. ... Layers forming the LCD some apart...TN and IPS which one is longest life?? or both is same?? |
