Dell U2311H looks so tempting... but I just realised it doesn't have HDMI, only DisplayPort

I was so close to getting the U2311H until I heard about all these problems that have been popping up.
Any other monitor worth mentioning? What are you guys thoughts on 23" IPS vs 24" LED TN? If both are the same price... which one would you pick? Is the viewing angle really that important? |

QUOTE(captvizcenzo @ Jun 17 2010, 12:05 AM) QUOTE(V3nz @ Jun 17 2010, 12:31 AM) This indeed a real disappointment.... lol... thanks for referring me there. Will it affect when i watching movie or playing games? Added on June 17, 2010, 12:35 am LOL,my thread so Dell is the only one with the entry level IPS LCD? Come to think of it... since I'm going with a dual monitor setup... I think IPS might be useful because when you put two 24" TNs next to each other, you'll definitely suffer from the horizontal viewing angle limitations. Anyone here so far satisfied with their U2311H? Not sure if I'm ready to make the jump to 16:9... I've been using 16:10 (1680x1050) so far and I've been lovin' it This post has been edited by mark: Jun 17 2010, 01:22 AM |

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Jun 17 2010, 04:41 AM) just got a u2411 last two weeks and PX2370 today What do you mean by 8-10 hours will create burn in? As in a "permanent" image on the screen? I thought that only happens to CRT monitors?impressed with the PX2370 - ALL it rm1040 . no blue tint issue but theres dithering on the fastest response time colors are excellent. u2411 hmm screen as hot as my previous s-ips. again has issue with running prime/linx on 8-10 hours will create burn in... hence y i got the px2370 for cpu stability testing |

Anyone bought their U2311H yet?
Good news by the way, if you go to the "Small and Medium Business" section, click on U2311H, add to cart, and use the following coupon code: QUOTE 2T?3?JM9SDB5WR You'll get RM70 off! I was so disappointed that I missed the RM50 deal, but this deal looks much better. Now contemplating if I should buy 1 or 2... EDIT: Does anyone know anything about "RM131 Instant Cash Redemption"? Do they normally have this forever? Their cash redemption ends 24th June so I'm wondering if they'll "renew" it after that. This post has been edited by mark: Jun 19 2010, 03:53 PM |

One thing that really puzzles me is... why don't the manufacturers go through proper QC in the factory itself before shipping out a defective monitor?

Gonna buy the Dell U2311H. Does anyone think adding additional 2 years warranty is worth it?

QUOTE(munak991 @ Jun 21 2010, 04:36 PM) Order U2410 last 3 week. Actually it's kinda scary that they sent you a refurbished 2409WFP. Imagine if you didn't open the box on the spot to check (which most people won't do) and reject. Well, good to know you finally got the "bright-pixel free" monitor and you're satisfied with it.Took 1 week to arrive to my house means last 2 weeks. Complained made on Monday last week, Tuesday sent a new unit 2nd unit. Tuesday straight complained ( no unit available) Wednesday call again no ppl send or anything. Thursday call again said no signed of getting my new monitor, send me a 2409WFP reject back. THursday before 6pm call again said will send next week or further notice. Today monday 12pm call said will come and give me Total take me 2 weeks but receive my monitor so happy =D this is why dont buy ARB unit. I just made my order for the U2311H. Wish me luck! Hopefully it arrives soon |

QUOTE(dasoulz @ Jun 21 2010, 05:26 PM) Hi, The U2311H comes with "overdrive" technology that helps with the response times, although in paper it'll still be slower than a TN panel.Have gone through the thread but still dont have clear answer. I know review say it is fine but i will like to hear from you guys. IsU2311H's response time fast enough to cope with gaming? for myself, gaming and movies and browsing; ratio of 40%-30%-30%. the 8ms kinda worry me abit but i wanan hear from you guys. Thanks Frankly, 8ms is fine unless you're an extreme hardcore gamer that plays really fast games like Quake Live. Even then I'm not sure if they'll notice any ghosting. From what I've read, as long as 6ms and below any normal human would not be able to tell the difference anymore. Also, if you're not happy with your monitor, you can return it to Dell and get a refund within the 14-day period. Also, I've used a 25ms monitor before. You rarely see ghosting effect in games. The only time you actually see ghosting is when something scrolls by the screen (i.e. you scroll really slowly on your monitor, or like the CNN news ticker at the bottom of the screen that scrolls left to right). Anyone else care to comment? |

I think you should be able to... They accept Visa, Mastercard and Amex. You have the PBB Visa Electron debit card is it?
Why not give it a try? |

Finally managed to see my estimated delivery date on the order of my Dell U2311H. 12-Jul-2010. WOW. 18 days just to receive this monitor?
For those who are planning to buy this monitor and are in a hurry, better think twice. |
