i know LCD TV support Resolution most 1920x1080 only ??? but not support Resolution Lower 640x480 and 800x600 and 1024x768
but LCD Monitor Also support lower Resolution too then LCD TV

I think it depends on what is your current 27". If it's one of those 1080p TN displays, then the U2711 is well worth considering.

Between HDMI and DVI, I'd pick HDMI only because the head is smaller and cuter. There shouldn't be much of a quality difference between the two, so feel free to let whatever variable (eg: cuteness, cost) you like to sway you.

1920x1080 is 16:9. 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768 are 4:3 ratios. And I get the feeling that all LCD TV have crappy firmware.

Hi pal, you are right, setting resolution at 1600x900 is best to watch dvd and videos... excellent.

But i find that 1280x800 setting is best for normal web browsing and using microsoft office.

Anyone else share the same findings??

If you found you are difficult in reading the font, u can increase the font size by ctrl+ scroll up (mouse roll)

You will only know if you try. And I wouldn't worry about the LCD TV dieing because of that.

What resolution of our TV program do you think RTM is broadcasting?

1. TV1, TV2, TV3, 8TV are all 480i/480p - 704 x 480 resolution
2. Astro (Standard) 480/576 - 704 x 480 typical, 768 x 576 is the PAL standard
3. Astro BYond - 720p/1080i - 1280 x 720, can go up to 1920 x 1080 depends on programme.
4. Full HD - 1080p - 1920 x 1080

It should not be a problem for the TV to function. You just need to set the correct resolution on your windows.

I'm currently debating between a Samsung PX2370 and a Dell U2311H. The primary use of the PC is going to be for gaming - Bad Company 2, Modern Warfare, WoW, etc. I currently have a 22" HannsG HF229H TN panel @ 5ms response time that I'm replacing. My question is how will ghosting on the PX2370 and the U2311H be in comparison? I know that the Samsung will have less ghosting/blur, and the Dell may perhaps have a bit more since it's e-IPS and rated at 8ms. However, I have also heard that the Dell performs quite well for gaming and that many HannsG monitors (which I currently have) have much higher response times that what is advertised.

Does anyone have any input on how well these would be for gaming, particularly in terms of ghosting compared to what I currently use?

The small business section is still selling the U2711 for RM 2,199. It's automatically discounted. Tomorrow is the last day. I will be sad to see it go.

Yeah,my current display is 28"(donno the exactly display).Is is 1080p TN displays.But I am concern about the dot pitch,cz I sometimes ll use it as a display for text.

The U2711 is 2560 x 1440 awesome pixels of IPS goodness. As for the text, you could always use the zoom in function, which is what I do on my 1920 x 1200 24" monitor.

Today is the last day. And I'm still broke; saving up for Intel's 3rd Gen 160 GB SSD. Also, if I got the U2711, it would certainly demand that I upgrade from my HD 5670.

Any TN LEDs.... or the rare TN @ 120Hz refresh rate(not sure of LED back-lit) though... You'll need DL-DVI or DP (input ports) for the additional bandwidth.
