The U2711 is 2560 x 1440 awesome pixels of IPS goodness. As for the text, you could always use the zoom in function, which is what I do on my 1920 x 1200 24" monitor.

Today is the last day. And I'm still broke; saving up for Intel's 3rd Gen 160 GB SSD. Also, if I got the U2711, it would certainly demand that I upgrade from my HD 5670.

I wonder, how much would an almost 4 month old U2410 go for anyway?

Well, if you don't have an SSD yet, you might want to consider it. I'm only targeting an SSD budget of about RM 800-900.

In either case, it is up to you if you want to spend the money on the monitor.

Games - U2711 better in all games except those that can utilize two individual monitors eg. Supreme Commander. I don't think you'd want to play with bezels sitting on your crosshair in a fps...

Then again, you could buy 3 U2311s instead of a U2711 (3 U2311s are similar price) to alleviate such issues and combo with nv surround or ati eyefinity...

ST2321? TN, I guess it's a normal monitor if you don't mind. If you're very budget and yet want better than normal monitor, then U2311H, good for typical yet better than normal TN panel. Some people on this topic can get this monitor for RM600 with 5 YEARS!! premium warranty, if it's not cheap enough, I don't know what to say.

U2311H is entry IPS, U2711 however is the real deal if you're into design (serious pro), it has better IPS parts than the little brother, higher resolution in one screen.
In the end, it's all depends on person, some like it one big screen, some don't mind to get many small one to eyefinity or nvision them together, you can buy three U2311H or maybe four depends on the negotiation from the U2711 price.
