like now...i am paying my common room for sgd600 incl. utils. and i pay extra sgd10 for my landlord maid to do laundry for me....the maid sumore iron all my cotton t-shirt..haha...and i dont need to wash the common toilet as the maid will do it as well...the maid will vacuum and mop my room twice a month... laugh.gif

for food..you dont spend much on it here...unless everyday you spend more than sgd20 on your meal...

so syok, i am a bit luckier than u, my house owner will mop 3 times a week my room, change my bed sheet twice a month for me. and the common toilet is wash by her as well. I just need to do my own laundry. She is a house wife, so she got nothing to do. somemore if i am not working, she will cook my lunch and dinner. and my Rental only $400 tongue.gif. she keep tell me she wants to get a maid. As she is selling of her current house and will get a new place. she say will get maid when she move and i got maid to do my laundry for me as well icon_rolleyes.gif . hopefully she can sell of her current house ASAP brows.gif

PS : she did inform me last time if after we move, she might charge me $500 if her husband is renting a house instead of buying 1. she also say i can get someone to share with me if i can't afford it. and $500 is included aircond biggrin.gif

Hi Guys,

I have ~4 years of experience in the IT/Telco industry. I'm interested to get a job in Singapore. But I'm still hesitating whether to give up my current job and spend a month or two there seeking for a job, or keep my current job until I secure a job? Is it too big a risk if I opt for the former?

Thanks.

isnt that a double edged sword since the odd would be the same for both the player as well as the dealer, the only diff which would provide the dealer with a very small advantage would be hitting on a soft 17.

But what i would like to know if there is any precondition to "surrender", say the dealers first card is an ace, can i opt for surrender or is that option only available for cards other than an "ace"?

If i not mistaken, baccarat has better odds since its basically 50/50 with you either betting on the player or the dealer. I noticed alot of foreign workers, especially the bangla and indian workers prefer to play a form of russian roulette or spin the big wheel game.

The china workers usually go for pontoon or blackjack but they tend to play the "tumpang" game.
*
Actually no, odds for blackjack definitely better than pontoon.. i don't know how to explain here, but this is what professional gambler told me..

QUOTE(Lester1987 @ Jun 22 2010, 02:11 PM)
normally i will go for baccarat, like u said, its 50/50 chance and most importantly, u won't meet those stupid aunty that scold u if u take card at 15 points. and when they lose, they blame u. i played blackjack the other day at Sands and i can't find any pontoon table there. I personally still prefer pontoon compare to blackjack. I din see any 3 card poker table in SG though. its a nice game.
*
Bacarrat is not 50/50 chance game, banker wins probability is 0.458597 and player wins probability is 0.446247, but I do agree bacarrat is one of the highest probability games.
You need to combine the good baccarat strategy and money management when you play this game, by then your odds will be increased.

If you know how to count card, blackjack is better..

Mana boleh count cards with since they have those card shufflers with around 5 decks of cards all jumbled in.

If it was a standard 1 deck all you need is an eidetic memory and some math skills and your good to go.

How much is the minimum salary to survive in Singapore

What is the best place to stay around Singapore? How much is the minimum for the rent in Singapore for a normal room
*
1) what you need to survive?
- some say internet and handphone.

2) best = high class or simply cheapest? I ever pay $100 ~$350/room rental, all depend on area, number of people sharing and ... legal or not.

I like somewhere around Marina Bay overlooking the F1 track. Holland Village also quite good.

I never said i was a pro gambler. Its technical unfeasible to count decks and calculate the odds with a auto shuffling 5 deck machine. You would need to be a savant to be able to do the calculations in your head in real time.

Looks like another death of migrant workers coz of unsafe transport conditions. Its very hypocritical of the Singaporeans to espouse the virtue at the workplace of "Work safe, safety first and safety starts with me" but still force migrant workers to ride vehicles designed to transport goods, not people all under the excuse of cost.

If your company give you blackberry you still want 2 have another phone? Might as well use blackberry as your primary phone.
