I'm also going to start my work in raffles place in july, looking for a place to move in by end of june/ early july.
However I wish to get a room for myself around $400 - $500, a small room doesn't matter, as long as it can accomodate a table, single bed and a closet, with washing machine and fridge facility Is that possible? |

QUOTE(cktwai @ May 14 2010, 08:55 AM) Great! Then I know I'l have friends there before I join, how nice!QUOTE(f.e.a.r @ May 14 2010, 10:51 AM) Hello guys, i have a friend who got offer from Singapore company for SGD3800 and he also got an offer from AT&T in cyberjaya RM7000.. I know he has made his decision but I personally think if someone is worth RM7k, he should be quite clear of what he wants in his career already, instead of looking solely at the monetary aspect Which one is better? In term of: 1.Job exposure, career development 2.Standard of living 3.Money Please advice..he is in a great dilemma now |

You should put in hope
For everything you want to achieve, you must start visualizing it now, like what my lecturer once told me, visualize yourself receiving the award, getting what you want, achieving all the satisfaction. |

NLP can be a very powerful tool in achieving anything
Almost on par with hypnotism and usually applied on sales and marketing industry/ seminars But no, my lecturer wasn't applying nlp, just words of encouragements |

Would like to know whether is it advisable to rent a room through website agents such as flatsdb or to personally visit the location to see any notice for rental?
And may I know how big is a common room and utility room compared to a middle room in Malaysia? Can accommodate a wardrobe, study table, single bed and some moving space? Because I want to find a place to stay by the end of June, preferably around Kallang/ Toa Payoh/ Redhill onwards. Along EW or Ns line Thanks in advance!! |

I just rented a room 4 days ago, with quite a nasty owner
Living with a pair of old retired couple, stays at home 24/7 and watch me do everything Bathe only 2 times allowed, washing machine(manual kind) use twice a week maximum 4 pairs, not allowed to hang my clothes when I'm out, i need to be in to wait for my clothes to dry to collect them, must let them know what time I return home, and where I go etc etc... Really regret for making such a rush decision and paid so much for agent fee! I think sooner or later I might lose my professionalism and throw temper, haha Plan to move out in 3 months time! haha, better not stay with owner imo. Property prices in Sg is really, sigh. Weekend crowd in shopping mall, sigh. Lol. |

The problem is contract only states: no vandalism, no pets, no bringing people into the unit
All these rules imposed after I moved it. Sigh, Kiam Siap, and no choice for now since its convenient for me to get to work |

If you are a good performer, your office would want you to stay
If you are a poor performer, Singapore office would not want you. You are caught in either situation, not that easy also... |
