greetings! I happen to stumble upon this thread by accident and couldn't resist not posting. Firstly, thanks for the many introductions to CW esp with discount currently ongoing.

Before i actually take the plunge and make an order, i would like to find out if any of you have purchased the steel bracelet? Is it possible to do the resizing at a local watch shop instead of paying the £10.00? Can the leather strap be adjusted to fit a wrist as small as 6 inches?
*
iirc none of us has got the steel bracelet. u can go any where to get it resize. no pt paying CW to get it done.
leather can be easily adjusted to fit you. no worries.

Yup, looking into Ball Trainmaster Streamliner. Most of the watches  sold in Malaysia is overprice with all the marketing gimmick & price control. Any recommendation for 4k budget if i don't need the lume function? Prefer leather strap as i never own leather strap.

Patryn: The CW watch that u recommend look nice. Might plan to get it. Did u owned one?

if u don't mind shopping online.
try Guinand series 20, its only ~3k with shipping. movement is nicely decorated with blue screws.
or if U want a chrono with moonphase the cheapest is http://www.genius1953.de/en/index10.html. the cheapest name brand chrono moonphase is longines and its over 7k after discount.

U can also try a Damasko, great build and they have having a 10% Xmas sales.
http://www.damasko.de/eng/index.html

US brand, can get a pwr res and date swiss movement. very classic
http://www.dfreemontwatches.com/sapphire_series.htm

I owned a CW C600, on those nearly new sale. I paid only ~1.2k back then.

2 ppl here has gotten Epos thru this US AD. running a big sale now.

+1 to Guinand 20 series, one of the most affortable ETA7750 out there. The only concern for me is the smallish 38.4mm size.

ppl that freq here my guess they own at least 2 maybe 3.

@ ck77 it may not wear small.
the series 40 is ~40mm and it look pretty good here.

I am getting a nomos its 37mm and many ppl is saying those 35mm wear very nicely due to the lug to lug size.

Hmm...still waiting for my CW to come. I have checked the tracking number from the royal postal service in uk and it mentioned that they have passed it to Malaysia postal service. Anyone got any idea how can i track it?? Is it using the same tracking number as the royal postal???

yeah...you can't track registered mail once it is passed to your local postal service..e.g. USPS 1st class priority can't be tracked once it's passed to Pos Malaysia/Australia Post..

Ok...the only thing i worried was they wrote my address wrongly, or i should say incomplete to be exact. All the jalan and post code is written down but the taman name is not complete=.= for example, my house is taman bunga, they only write "ta....", 2 alphabet thats all =.=

I emailed them and they said it should be ok, i still can receive it wor......hopefully really no prob la =S

Yes bear. I think it will be abit slow due to christmas season. Many orders have been placed. Therefore, it takes time for them to process your order too. They will only inform you through email when your item has been despatched. Maybe you can drop them an email to ask for some updates =)

Watches are tax free in malaysia. Unless the parcel include other taxable item. i.e. leather goods

maybe they finding means to tax? tax the leather band?

US import tax on watch is strange, the break down the cost of band, case etc and tax.. total is ~US$25 for watch that cost under US$5K.
but my watch from CW didn't get tax at all.

if that's the case, there show how stupid and ignorance msian custom is. tongue.gif any sane person knows that the strap is part of the watch.
