I have question about installment plan.
If my cc credit limit is 5k, the item that i want to purchase costs 6k, i'll buy it under installment plan provided by the retail shop, can I call the bank to increase my credit limit temporarily to make this purchase?
*
maybe u can split the payment, 5k for the installment and cash for the balance

I have a question on the forex rate used by the credit card for overseas transactions.

Recently I used my Amex card for a USD transaction and when I saw the statement I noticed the exchange they used was very high (3.42). When I called them they said Amex has a 2.5% surcharge added on.
i bought games from Steam using my Amex on 5th july, exchange rate only 3.3

I have another odd question...

Lets say for example , MB issues me a credit card.

I use the credit card , but then I immediately make the payment within 4 to 5 days , making sure i dont pay any interest.

Will this make me a bad customer ? If in the future I request for a CL UP , will they decline it?

I understand the only way a bank profits from issuing a cc is if you also pay the interest,

smile.gif

they gain more profits from the retailers i think, when u swipe the card, the retailers need to pay to the bank some charges, i dont know how much

n it is advisable u pay after the statements comes up, though there is nothing wrong with wut u are doing as above. still no interest if u pay between the statement date and due date. icon_rolleyes.gif
