QUOTE(powerfulcool @ Jul 1 2010, 10:49 AM) i knew about it when i plunged in i am against the low quota and am actively campaigning against it. but the "TM will one day have a cap" is a non-issue for me since we all knew they were going to do that anyway agreed...

eventually, i do support the cap to imposed on july. ever since, unifi users with no cap, it really impacts other streamyx users drastically. no offense ya. in my opinion though, unifi is for those peoples whom prioritizing line quality and for those are willing to spend. whereby, streamyx should remained as affordable broadband with no caps for those downloaders and which resulting throttling, slowdowns, and etc.
of course, i do think tm should revised the cap. unless they can guarantee me with the cap that they can maintain superb quality line not like the current streamyx filled with slowdowns, throttles and etc. and i'm ok with it.

Some of the buttons on the existing remote don't function properly. TM is aware of this and are sending out their men to replace them.

One way is to pay an extra fixed fee to remove the cap in the future. That will be a great idea but our internet is already so damn expensive so hopefully tmnut will wake up(if ever).... Whoever uses steam for games will be trapped... This post has been edited by Neptern: Jul 1 2010, 01:06 PM

QUOTE(rizvanrp @ Jun 30 2010, 09:00 PM) Unlikely to happen, people would bypass the cap by re-routing traffic through local datacenter servers. I'm sure they could implement unmetered traffic within the Unifi network alone though. Heard from TM sales person at the curve cap is only international traffic not local. Local is unlimited Pass cap speed will become 10% u can buy more bandwidth is u wish

I'm sure they could implement unmetered traffic within the Unifi network alone though. local datacenters are complete ripoffs, promise you 10mbps shared but if you constantly use high bandwidth they ask you to buy dedicated bandwidth at nearly RM300 per 1mbps... i think the crazy prices alone would deter people from using the local datacenters as proxies constantly.
