About the password, IINM currently we can't change the pre-defined Unifi account and email password.
I think if we want to change the Unifi password, we'll have to ask the technician / call CS and to change it (unlike Streamyx, we can change those passwords thru the website).
Only router access password we could change.

Whoever has the ears of TM management, can ask them to consider implementing traffic cap on international traffic only? Don't count tm and myix traffic!

Unlikely to happen, people would bypass the cap by re-routing traffic through local datacenter servers. I'm sure they could implement unmetered traffic within the Unifi network alone though.

Quick question: The internet/WAN globe light on my DIR-615 router is currently orange, but if i'm not mistaken it's suppose to be green if it's connected properly. My internet and everything else is working fine, but I just find this a bit odd.

I called UniFi CS yesterday to raise my opinion on the cap limit. The lady was explaining they implement the cap base on media type, audio/video/streaming. So I told her example for VIP5, 60GB monthly cap is 2GB per day and this limit is not realistic and they should raise it triple times making it 4GB per day which I think is quite reasonable limit. The lady also mentioned other unifi users also raise similar opinion and she will bring this matter to higher management to discuss. So I guess have to wait and see what they say.

I've called CS TMUnifi and they informed the technician will come and do the installation by next Saturday, hopefully everything goes well...

Oh yeah beside the gadget packages that Unifi provides do the installer/technician promote the Wi-Fi USB Adaptor (RM40-00 is it consider cheap?) or BPL, before or after the installation?... saying bla bla bla ask some kind of soft force you to buy those optional equipment?

It's monthly cap not daily. When I mention 2GB per day for VIP5, that's to narrow down the picture so the CS lady understands why ppl say the cap is unrealistic.

Ya, why must there be a cap? Even i didnt download anything, i am on 1mbps line, my daily usage can hit 3-5gb at least because there is 6 ppl sharing the line, everyone doing youtubing, ppstream, online games. And heck, i bought steam games, i need to download them, redownload them, 1 game is like 7gb, if capped, i cant even download a original game.

if so, its much better... ..though i have not yet subscribe since my area is only 2011..

To clear the air, initially when they launch Unifi, they impose the cap. Shortly after that ppl started to voice out about the unrealistic cap limit so from that point onwards the lifted the cap(Uncapped) till furthur notice from them. And yes there is definitely going to be a monthly cap. We just don't know what the limit will be.

oh, so same old story lah. we all knew back then that TM was going to delay the cap until the end of the year.

this thread made me think that TM has changed its mind and tried to change its policy to imposing the cap now, this month of July.

So there is still no caps but there will be in the future. like i said, same old story. dont know why everyone's agitated, not like TM has announced anything...

hey..i have 30GB to dl..i just dont want to start it..so its hanging there..but i do support the cap..

for now..if i download minimally...my house monthly usage is at 60GB and this includes my brothers endless anime downloads... ..i do hope it gets raised to 100GB..

i knew about it when i plunged in i am against the low quota and am actively campaigning against it. but the "TM will one day have a cap" is a non-issue for me since we all knew they were going to do that anyway
