Oh man, I am very very interested.

Oh just a little note to everyone here.
I have the nitecore headband and if you're wearing glasses, headlamps with the lights at the side isn't very comfortable.
Better get a dedicated headlamp like the Zebralight H series, Petzl etc.
They'll be glare off ur glasses.

Ok, googled and found http://www.constantaperture.com/index.php/...a-hill-semenyih. Looks very nice and the view is meant to be admired in the day sad.gif But an excellent place to test HIDs drool.gif

Looks like we have two locations. I was thinking something nearer like Kiara Park, but Semenyih is a good option + We have a guide brows.gif (and to get metalzone to come tongue.gif ). What you guys think? Semenyih? It will require you guys to travel abit (est 1 hour drive from PJ or more), perhaps some organized convo or "see you there by 8pm"... Let's discussĀ  thumbup.gif

Best time to hike broga hill is apparently in the morning to see the sunrise. But all the times I've hiked up is only in the morning so I don't know how is the place at other times such as sunset.
I normally start the hike at around 5 to 5:30am before the sun peeks out. If your stamina is good it only takes about 15-20 mins to reach the first peak, then it's just a little bit more to go the next 3 slightly higher peaks. If you manyak pro, you could even go on for a further 3.7 kilometres to the next mountain (forgot the name) but I've never tried that one before.

Now that place is so popular it's really crowded up there during weekends in the morning. More than a year ago, when I first hiked up, very few people know about that place. Now people come all the way from all over klang valley and the greedy landowners (apparently) started charging RM2 parking.
We could possibly try an evening hike to see the sunset and picnic/minum up there till it's really dark then you can test flashlight all you want. I could bring my camera gear and tripod up (but need help tongue.gif) and we could do a whole beamshot compilation.

Oh and regarding travelling time, it takes me about 45 mins to travel to subang or kelana during off-peak hours. So yeah 1 hour is a good estimate for non-jam hours.

http://www.jamiesoon.com/bukit_kiara.htm (Bukit Kiara/Taman Tun Hill)

Just imagine.. starting our trail at 9PM! drool.gif

I'm planning our next gathering date next month (May/Jun). I found this "new" place, and thought the few of us will go and check it out first brows.gif

I've been there once I guess. It's more of a biking trail, I guess too long for walks unless U know the ways.

@Susuman, thats quite a bit of modding you've been doing. =D

Let's see if anyone can catch this. =D

OK good info, we'll take the 3 slightly higher peaks. But the Mountain expedition will have to be another time smile.gif Non-picnic and walk all the way.. in the dark! brows.gif We'll definitely stay till dark and walk our way back after we're satisfied.

According to Metalzone and the map, it's a road all the way down pass University Nottingham in Sermenyih. I would really like to check it out first biggrin.gif

The tentative date at the moment for this is on the 29th May 2010, Saturday.

Meanwhile, let's not forget Bukit Kiara, I would also wanna check that out.

You can look in this way, more GB until 1/7 which will fullfill/cover the GB needs for 6 months (while he is on sabbatical ). whistling.gif

yes. the included ZL headband is not suitable. if you are using NiteCore headband, only the top position is ok. no issue with their H-series tho... smile.gif
i think they should include other accessories for SC-series instead of headband... a 360° belt holster and other GITD goodies would be nice... whistling.gif

EDIT: maybe for members who don't wear glasses there will be lesser or no glare?

Yea I was also gonna say it's because we're wearing glasses. It glares on mine too. Probably more suitable if it was more protruded out, like attached to the side of a helmet.

Ooo... congrats on your new business! Now I know who to look for solarforce stuff.

add: about the battery tester, a lot of people seem to recommend the ZTS battery tester. the mini one is cheaper.
