If it's Lithium ion chemistry, rechargeable. Keep in glove compartment, not in the boot, and generally although not absolute, not more than 2 hours. You want to avoid the battery feeling too hot to the touch after more than 6 hours of clear hot day (10am to 4pm). There are other small mitigations you can do to your car to help like dark tinting, sun shades, etc.

Nitecore EDC33, definitely a good light. The 4K lumens is only temporary due to its size. The real performance is 1k lumens. Build quality and heat management is good, Nitecore has improved on the ATR (Advance Temperature Regulation) for these series too. Note it has a very strong pocket clip. Check out reviews on Youtube.

I got the EDC35 in the end and it is amazing lol. The battery life is crazy good too. I would say 1000 lumens is sufficient for most use case, walking out at night, looking for things etc

Excellent, no regrets there, it's a complete package (one hand operation, battery indicator, built-in charging, lockout switch, strong pocket clip, throw and flood, very good runtime). I have the EDC33, and many other Nitecore stuff thumbup.gif The sweet spot modes on these are really the 300lm (both are actually around 400lm) and 1300lm. The Search and Lumin-Shield modes are crazy bright and heats up pretty quick until the heat management keeps cutting it off laugh.gif

Its being a while i posted this but yeah I decide to carry it with me unless the area I would be is shaded or indoor parking which I would leave it inside the car.

It's nice to see fellow torch light enthusiasts here.

I used to work for an Australian eCommerce that sells torches, knives, and multi-tools, and this was before COVID period.

And, I was levelled as a technician in that regard.

- Maglite
- Nitecore
- Nebo
- LEDLenser
- Olight

Were some of the brands that I oversaw. smile.gif
