Any flash light to recommend below RM200?
-Something that can switch between flood and throw? -Lighter than 100g. -Casual use, also for travelling purposes. Kinda looking at Nitecore EC23/EC30... is Nitecore a good brand to start with? I'm a beginner |

No light can switch flood and throw unless you willing to sacrifice waterproof.-Something that can switch between flood and throw? -Lighter than 100g. -Casual use, also for travelling purposes. Kinda looking at Nitecore EC23/EC30... is Nitecore a good brand to start with? I'm a beginner Fenix FD30 fits your first requirement while maintaining waterproof but it's above your RM200 budget Nitecore EC30 is a great light that utilizes the XHP35 and it's a good start for pocket rocket But if you are going pocket rocket route, can consider Lumintop FW3A XP-L Hi version. Crazy bright with Andruil UI for easy modes Easily lighter than your 100g limit even with heavy 18650 protected cells There's a SST-20 led option for better color rendition if you don't mind sacrificing some brightness Great for casual use and night walks. Might not be that good with long distance spotting Pair it with a good cell like Samsung 30Q and a liitokala lii 100 charger and you're good to go |

jack of all trades, master of none. totally understand where you are coming from. personally been considering the fenix fd45 for the longest time. not something that i'd recommend you since it exceeds your weight and price requirements (nor the dimensions, i'm sure). but no, i didn't get that. gotto think long and hard which light to pack nowadays. the flood wins most of the time (pretty much a toss between olight s1r baton turbo s and manker u12), but i do occasionally bring the thrunite catapult v6 along during my treks.

Hi Guys/Gals,
Been reading this thread from time to time and admired in owning a decent flashlight for work purpose but always postponed due to budget constrain. Don't want to delay further and plan to get one and join you guys during this 11.11 sale. My last look out was for a HC33. I would like to receive your inputs with following requirement: 1.) Can be fitted to head mount (Easy for working in dark area) 2.) Magnet base when working on my car 3.) Not to big 4.) 18650 battery, as a common platform (Also any recommended charger to go with and spare battery) 5.) Decent lumens Any LED type recommended when getting a flashlight? Thanks. |

Skilhunt H03F (due to the versatility of spot and flood with the flap diffuser) YLP Panda 2M CRI (Headlamp with LH351D hi CRI LEDs are definitely useful for my ex electrician job) for battery and charger, just go with Samsung 30Q and Liitokala Lii 100 |

Where require this flashlight during shutdown or repair works inside confined space, do need to verify cable colours and yes hands on job from time to time. Also a bit of car DIY hobby works and hiking when time permits. Any advise? Skilhunt should be easy to find in both shopee and lazadaDid check out both the flashlight and looks good but can't find any link to local seller. Whether they're gonna be cheaper during 11.11 idk. Just monitor the price hikes YLP Panda is only direct from their website iirc. Amazon don't do 11.11 and they are pricy but then again these 2 are my wishlists still. If you are hoping local shops to sell, then you might consider spending more on premium brands like manker or fenix, thrunite, etc Xtar H3 warboy is a good durable starter light but classic XM-L2 led la. A bit outdated. But the UI is simple click to on/off, hold to change brightness Klarus HA2c is an overkill with the XHP70.2 LED inside (prolly the brightest usable LED in flashlight range) There's also the Thrunite TH10 XHP35HI which you can consider too. No comment about how versatile it is for work use as I don't see much reviews. I personally think you should go with Manker E03H XP-L for brightness or Nichia 219c for color (Both will tell wire colors easily. Go with XP-L. Nichia color reproduction can be great but they are no match in brightness for XP-L) They are not 18650 lights but rather uses common AA batteries. Brightness may be sacrificed but the option for both flood/throw is pretty important for tight spaces. And since they're just AA powered light you won't have a burning hot headlamp on your head during hours of usage. Plus it is way lighter than 18650 light Get yourself a spare AA battery carrier if you need to work entire day. A 4 pack Ikea Ladda whites and Ikea charger to go along would complete your AA headlamp set They should be all available in gadgetworld2u if you prefer local shop. |
